Are you that convinced that IF we make the CL (It will have to be the qualifying round if we do) Mancini will somehow change his tactics to how we play?
I personally would not like to gamble on that......Mourinho would not be a gamble....in fact the 2 cannot be compared..Mourinho is a million times better at managing and a million times better at Man managing than Mancini ever will.
Back to the original question..are you convinced and if so on what basis?
His mentality this season has been to try and get a point out of every away game and only go for all three if we're certain we won't lose. This is annoying at times, but it's probably been made clear to him that his job depends on us getting 4th spot. When someone sets you such a rigid target, and you know you're out on your ear if you don't hit it, then you do whatever you can to get it. Hence the boring and cautious football, hence the awful Carling Cup exit.
If he gets us top 4, we should see what he does next. If he doesn't, he's out on his ear so there's no point debating it.
I do actually think (not know) that we'd be playing some more expansive stuff if he had the same job security as Harry Redknapp.
