I am told he works hard in training and doesn't antagonise the manager, who is after all something of a short-arse with all the personality defects that entails. See also Craig Bellamy under "short-arse".

What gives you an idea that Bellamy would've settled for place on the bench and two minutes here, fifteen seconds there? Same goes for Adebayor. These are the main arguments used. That Jo was some sort of replacement for them.
Besides, Bellamy was quite poor in latter half of 09/10. He was done at this level. He has been alright in Championship according to reports. Nothing out of this world but alright. We are in FA Cup final and 4th in Premier League. Bit different don't you think?
Just to make myself clear though, I fucking loathe Jo. I want to see back of him ASAP. I just don't like the argument especially as it's mostly used against Mancini. Man who got us in the Champion's League and to FA Cup final. Maybe he, and not some experts in mancityfans.net, made the right decisions after all?
I honestly believe had we kept Bellamy we'd have done better this season. His pace alone scares defenders, not to mention his brilliant technical ability and the fact he's two footed. A fantastic work ethic. Several games this season we have lacked someone with real pace.

Mancini has got the job done in terms of the league, the cup will be a bonus to me but one I hope we claim.
Has he set the world alight...no. Could we have had a proper pop at winning the league this season....yes. Have some of his decisions and his "management" been fucking bonkers and probably cost us points....absolutely.
I, like many others, am very happy where we are. It's been more of a bumpy ride than it needed to be though and that's been (in large measure) down to Mancini's poor calls and suspect style in parts.
More than happy to put all of this down to him needing to put his own stamp on the club, do things his way etc and in no way whatsoever do I want (or in honesty have I ever wanted) him replaced. More than happy to see him given another season at the very least.
However, has he got it all right this season, has he fuck. And were you "right all along about things"....haha you are having a fucking laugh.

Bellamy Adebayor Robinho and now it looks like Tevez are all out for various reasons.
Don't think it is unfair to compare Bellamy with Jo they can both play up front and wide left the difference is one was pretty effective and one has been rubbish, Bellamy was told there was not enough room in the squad yet there is room for Jo.
This season we have virtually the same number of points as last with a far stronger central/attacking midfield now Silva and Yaya are here, why is this? Well things don't alwasy come together and we have certainly had more European distractions but too me at tiems we have lacked what Bellamy gave us up front a bit of pace aggression and no small measure of ability not to mention some premiership experience.
We don't know how happy he would have been with more limited outings but in all his interviews that I heard he seemed well aware of the fact that more star players would come in and his role would decrease, he never complained of this.
Now I don't know what goes on behind the scenes and Mancini knows far more about football than I could ever hope too or anyone else who is a fan but I don't think debating the decision from a fans point of view is unreasonable and the decision looks an odd one to me.

very good post mate - agree.
i not bellamy has limped off in the play off semi unfortunately...
also - NQDP - if you agree jo is so gash, why the fuck has he played at all???? not like we had no cash to get a half decent young striker is it? jo should never have been on the pitch that season - and you can't deny that's down to mancini.

Had we had Bellamy or Ade at our disposal, would they have been used in the 'last resort' role that Jo has been, though, or brought on earlier as they actually had something to offer?
I think Bellamy may have been happy on the bench if there were players in better form or more talented ahead of him, considering his age and our position.

but surely that is the point - if he's made no difference all season, he shouldn't be here. this isn't a bellamy -v- jo thing for me - we could have bought an andy carroll for instance, and i'm sure he WOULD have made a difference. or any number of good young european strikers.
as your on your "i was right" thing tonight, allow me to say i was right about samaras, corradi, bianchi and ireland (eventually!) :) :)
anyway mate - the point is jo should never have been near our team this season, and mancini COULD have brought in a decent striker to replace him. and i guess the real point is that it WOULD have made a difference to our season.
