What other possible reason would there be to not sign Ronaldo ? We'd challenge for everything & the club's profile would go through the roof; all of their objectives. FFP ? Don't make me laugh, they could arrange an extra sponsorship to pay for him purely on the strength of him signing. If Real want Tevez, it knocks a fair bit off the price anyway.
If Ronaldo wants to stay at Real, then this is total bullshit & he stays. If it's true he wants to leave however, we will be trying to sign him, without a shadow of a doubt.
Or we were already moving for someone else at Real before this story broke, and we don't want to pee the club off (bearing in mind Real are already fully stocked in midfield AND have another one signed and joining in the summer)
Or, we've already got a player who may not be too happy to see the Tranny taking over his mantle.
The one who's just told a radio station that it's time for a change of scenery?
Could be. But if you could show me that radio interview it would be much appreciated, or even, 3 interviews to make up the one ;-)
I'll show you a full moon (slightly blue as it's a bit chilly here right now)
My point before you went off on a tangent, was that we're more likely to get a midfielder in ESPECIALLY if Tevez stays
