Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm all for a society where grown men can feel free to fantasise about wanking off famous footballers at the weekend, but personally it isn't my idea of romance.
I've just noticed he also called MJ 'fit'.
*snigger*

Getting rid of Flitcroft was one of the biggest mistakes this club made in recent years. The loss of him f@@ked our midfield, we struggled and got relegated, only since 2005 have we recovered our stature

He was injured while playing for the club, he is still an outstanding prospect if he gets back to full fitness, and a fully fit MJ would walk into even our present set up, I for one hope he does get fit and return to the club, if you dont agree, fine, but get off the lads back.
*As per the MO of numpty`s mob, these stories followed the incident where the club doctor told MJ he was not fit and to rest up, when numpty told him to join in a practice match he pointed this out, numpty then went to the CEO and said the player refused to play (Leaving out that the club Dr had instructed him not to ), the Dr then put the CEO right, numpty was left looking like the c*nt he proved to be and the snide stories of boozing and drugs started...........and the club Doctor was forced out after 20 odd years.

Too many people saw MJ in action for all of the stories to be lies. He was also fat, which can't possibly have helped his rehabilitation as a footballer. Also, a fully fit MJ wouldn't walk into this side. A fully fit MJ may have got the odd game as a sub to try & prove himself when we were playing a slow, fairly negative style, half way through last season, but he probably lacks the power required to do a def MF role in this team & is nowhere near as good as our creative players in that role. He would, even if fully fit, have to improve 50 to 100% to get in this team.
Blueonblue wrote:If thats you opinion of him then fine, wrong but fine, its the slagging off of a guy who is still a City player for no reason other than some deluded idea MJ has done wrong to the club that gets me.
Yes he put weigh on, but he was forced into inactivity by the injury, and he likes a pint the same as a lot of players, but so what, do you think the club would not have noticed if he was a serious boozer?, I personally was in the company of another player a few years ago when there was a story run in the media of how drunk the guy was only two days before a big game, he had ONE pint and then went onto soft drinks all night, some people see a young lad with a very well paying job and the green eyed monster takes over.
And as he is still subject to regular drug testing as a pro football player, never mind around fittness coaches and medical staff almost every day, the same question of how nobody would notice applies.
For my money MJ is one of the finest box to box players I have seen in near 50 years of supporting City, he was being compared to Colin Bell by more than a few for good reason, my hope is he gets fit and returns to the club, then we will see if he gets in the team or not.
