Just watching the post match on Sky. First time I've agreed with Souness on anything - called Tevez a bad apple and a disgrace to football.

What is he?
A defender?
Midfielder?
Attacker?
None of the above?

Answers on a postcard, please!!!!

He's a talented player as PART of a functioning midfield, not a Roy Cunt type player who can sprint around tirelessly, filling gaps left by a side effectively playing with 4 forwards. Also, Barry is the wrong partner in that formation as he's too slow to always be the cover when Yaya's legs go. If we are going to play that many attackers in the Champions lg, they must get behind the ball. We are getting left man for man at the back, with runners coming. It's causing the team to become nervous & it's fucking amateurish. Mancini is making a cunt of himself, it's basic stuff, as is having width at home, which we also lack.

Boateng was probably one of the best 3 players on the pitch tonight, defended everything when we had a sniff ... bloody typical.

Loads to learn as a club all round tonight

I blame Douglas for upsetting Paul Lake. News must have filtered through the club and affected the players in a bad way. Thanks Doug.

Agreed, which is why he should never venture beyond the centre circle, particularly when De Jong isn't playing; we have more than enough attackers, and, as you correctly say, he doesn't have the legs

A centre half who gave away two potential penalties and left Dzeko unmarked on a few occassions. He's very raw and not that good IMO

He was being nice.

Bet when the cameras went off he called him some names, you could see in his face he was utterly outraged just like we all are.

I think we need to cut Mancini some slack here....Tevez refusing to go on screwed up all his 3 subs.

Turns out I was right:

He wanted to keep it 2-0 and then bring Tevez in to try and tie it up or win it.
Then, he refused and we had no more strikers on the bench left and he only really had Milner and Kolarov as attacking options to come on. Tevez ruined the whole sub process tonight..not really Mancini's fault.

Is there a special rule in the Champions League preventing you making two subs at once? We were 2-0 down and he replaced a striker with a DM, regardless of what he thought he might do 5-10 mins later that is madness

that is the only point that tarnishes Mancini here...I agree, he couldve made both subs at once...maybe he wanted the clock to run some more so Tevez could be on the pitch for a shorter time because Mancini seems him as not still fit? no idea, i agree.

but still, Tevez mucked it all up.

Don't put a striker on the bench anymore that does not want to play when you need him the most.

Stop playing 4-4-2 away from home in Europe.

Didn't see the game coz of work so have seen highlights this morning. It's not the end of the world.

We played well for 30 mins or so and should have had at least one penalty, probably two. Dzeko should have done better with his attempt too. Could and probably should have been 2-0 up which would have changed the game completely.
Defensively, unexcusable!! A defender should always be following up a shot to get the the rebound first. The first goal was from the second rebound. Not good enough. Think RM made an error starting Kolo instead of Lescott probably coz he felt he had more CL experience. This back fired.
Their 2nd goal was offside so that was the third bad decision that went against us (two pens being the first two)
Second half they dominated but then we were having to chase. Bayern are a top team and not some bunch of muppets who are going to let a 2-0 home lead slip. We are not going to be able to dominate possession and games in the CL like we will in the Prem. All in all we were second best esp after they scored the first but have only lost one game. There is still 12 points available and we can still qualify.

I'm more pissed off with CT but not sure how to deal with it. He's an expensive asset that would be worth £40million but after last nights display we will be lucky to get £15mill as every buyer knows we have to get rid of.

Let's be honest. Bayern were bloody good. Not many teams are going to go there and come away with anything.
