Because in tight games, often the difference can be someone pulling off a piece of magic, inspiration etc. Eg Rooney against us. And whose more likely to pull such a thing off? Dzeko is a one trick pony, he does that trick very well but if teams cut off the supply to him from wide areas he's useless.
