Tevez denies refusing to play

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Tevez might try to say now it was a misunderstanding, but it was clear Mancini wanted him to come on. If Tevez thought Mancini misunderstood Tevez's reaction, he should have got up from the bench, walked over to Mancini and taken his training top off to show Mancini he was ready to play.

When I've played football, at my basic Saturday or Sunday level, and I've been a sub, I've always wanted to get on the pitch and it's not difficult to make it clear to the manager you want to play. Tevez knew exactly what he was doing and he now can deal with the consequences. I just hope City can find a legal way to sack him and receive some sort of compensation for breach of contract.

I think a key figure in this drama is Zab. Tevez was talking to him on the bench with his hand covering his mouth, like he was telling him a secret. It was reported in todays Mirror that Zab said "Tevez did not want to play." I dont trust tabloids very much but it will be interesting to see what Zab tells the internal inquiry about what Tevez was saying.

Interesting to see the support that we're getting in the press, and from those involved in the game - I could honestly have imagined both the press and nation as a whole somehow using this whole sorry incident against us.

And on another note, great to see Will Greenwood talking so passionately on SSN about what happened. Great to see a "celebrity" fan who's obviously so devoted to the club, rather than just a bunch of prawn-sandwhich munching, glory seekers (thinking James Nesbitt, Angus Deaton, and many, many more...)

Anyone seen these comments:
Speaking to Sky Sports, Tevez said: "Those are decisions which he makes and I agree with that. It's just I have been professional up until now. I was the top goalscorer last season so I don't think I deserve this treatment.

"Yes I wanted to leave. I asked to leave because I had family problems but now my family is here and I'm happy, but I don't have the manager's backing."

The 27-year-old also suggested that his refusal to warm-up was due to illness and that, when called upon, his head "wasn’t in the right place".

"I didn't want to warm up because I wasn't feeling very well so I thought it was better not to," he continued.

"So I didn't think I was in a good situation to come on because my head wasn't in the right place."

Those were comments he made to Sky immediately after the game.

He backtracked on them the following morning ..... "I didn't refuse to play" etc

Fortunately RM stated exactly what had happened immediately after the game so Tevez the slimey twat is screwed, no matter what he says now, as RM can't be seen to go back on his word "saying it's over for kettle head & me/this club" and club is hardly likely to back thicko Tevez over RM.
Point is now to get others to go on record and whilst we make his life as uncomfortable as possible we build a water tight legal case to ensure his time at City was more expensive than even he or Kia could ever had imagined.
Do it City, fry him, hope he leaves Manchester with two more scars, one on his character and one on his wallet of course.

The argument from kettle faces solicitors will be that Mancini publicy stated that he was finished with the club thus verbally voiding his contract.

The breach of contract occurred when Tevez allegedly refused to play - which was before Bob's comments.

Nope.....Mancini does not employ anyone therefore cannot terminate anyone's contract...if that statement had come from an owner or HR person then yes...solicitors could argue the point but not coming from Mancini they cant.

its time to get rid he doesnt want to be here, and its his way of getting out.
hes now a liability what next? if we dont shift him, it could be handling the ball in our own penalty area.
or scoring own goals, or just deliberately getting sent off.

"I know Carlos quite well. He's a player who wants to be playing.

"When he's a sub, it'll be killing him. What I did was as bad if not worse."

"It will be killing him not playing particularly when they were struggling with five to ten minutes to play.

"That's totally up to the manager but, at the time Carlos, won't be thinking that. He'll be thinking, 'The manager is against me, why is he not bringing me on? I'm City's best player and he's not playing me'.

"I'm not saying he [Tevez] is right - it's totally up to the manager."

And that my friend is why we will be stuck with him till Jan and he will be sold for less than half the 25m banded about in the summer transfer window. Mancini should have just kept quiet. Fucking polly what have you caused you arrogant thick twat.

This getting in the pitch stuff gets on my tits, how many times do we see played delaying to come on cause they not got boots on or laces tied? Even at my lads age in a local team, they are all ready to charge on to the pitch as soon as given the word.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

It's bollox anyway - Mancini doesn't (and can't) hire or fire anyone.
