I'd rather we bought his team mate. Never been impressed with Huntelaar.

I think a lot of this depends on what Bobby wants to do and whether he is willing to take a punt on someone, short term. All of our recent buys have been established top players or youngters. I'm not sure Bobby is the type to take a punt on someone at the wrong end of his career or a player below that top level but perhaps it's necessary if we want four (content) forwards in our squad.

Huntelaar has been a ruthless goalscorer everywhere, including for his national team. He never really got much of a run at Madrid or Milan, but he's been back among the goals at Schalke. He's still only 28, would probably only cost about 8M, and would see the move as another chance at the big time. I'd have him in a flash.

Guildetti?? lol

A young striker or a veteran would fit the bill. If we are in either European competition we have easily enough games to play all the strikers.

Agreed. Eto'o would have been perfect. Shame Mancini didn't think of going for a swap deal there...

Have you SEEN his reported wages? I am glad Mancini didn't do anything with Eto'o. I'm not a fan of him anyway, so I am glad we didn't go for him.

Guidetti 2 goals in 2 matches.. we have the in house answer in my opinion. Is he recall-able though?

Two penalties, though, and none from open play. He played 90 minutes yesterday as well when Feyernoord lost 0-3 at home to the Hague. I.e. 2/3 now.

2 penalties.

In the immediate future, we should get Harry Bunn some game time off the bench in the League Cup.

I think Mancini wanted to swap deal, though no-one else at City did.

Huntelaar can eff off, after his slagging us off a few years ago. Think someone on here (Slim maybe) stated at the time that he's going to regret that statement.

If Guidetti is the answer, then what the hells the effin question. Someone pacey is a good shout, who at least scores a goal or two as we dont want one of those Gareth Taylor type interviews when the guy signs, ie "Im not really a goalscorer, my strengths lie elsewhere etc etc."

Yes, and that is a better record than Tevez as of late on penalties, right? Sounds like an improvement.

Are we talking about Clichy here though? This one was dredged up 2 months ago, and I wasnt a big fan of Clichy then either. He was a knob for that quote and I wouldnt have signed him by choice either, but Im not the boss. For the same reason, I dont want Huntelaar either.

the point is, Clichy has been a very good signing thus far, and you cannot hold these fuclers to what they said a year or two ago under duress.

Have you ever been out with your missus and said another woman was hot?

Straight swap in Jan -- Tevez for Sturridge.

cheers

For Huntelaar I would as he isnt up to scratch anyway.

Tevez for Sturridge has as much chance as an England call-up for David Brightwell.
