It's Milner time...i think. Nasri off, Milner on at HT. Balo on at 60 for Dzeko if we're not producing.

Balo isnt on the bench though is he. Its gots to be Silva and Sergio for me.

He's made more forward passes than Kompany/Lescott and maybe Barry (we need Rag Hater and his notebook full of stats to confirm). They were doing my fucling head in at times in the first half.

Don't understand the criticism of Dzeko. His two efforts on goal came from absolutely fucking awesome 1st touches. He and AJ are the only players who look a threat to Sunderland's defence so far to me. AJ has looked (once again) twice the player Nasri has imo. He's creating problems for Sunderland every single time he touches the ball, then Yaya is giving it back to them in areas where we could create a goal with just a little bit of intelligence.

For most of that half we weren't even at 50%. So many casual passes. Don't understand it.

First sub should be Yaya, he has given the ball away every time. Absolute shit the first half, other than running with the ball he really can be very crap.

I have a bad feeling that once again we will fail to capitalize on the fact that United and Chelsea lost and Spurs only drew.

Cannot see us score at the moment. Bring on Silva, Nasri has been gash.

Also, the ref is a joke for booking de Jong after 7 minutes but when a Sunderland players goes into him foot high, studs showing no card is shown.

He can be added to my previous comment. De Jong makes us play too 2010/11-esque.

Doh! Checking the lineup helps i suppose. I think we have to rest Silva. We need the old one back for Scouse...he's looked knackered and craptastic lately. We have to be able to win without him when required.

Why does Vinny give the ball to Lescott so often when he is in just as good a position ? He is a former midfield player. Pass it to one of them instead of Lescott; he is a defender.

Baloteli isn't a sub, as you've probably been told already. Worse luck. We're missing him.

A good half of footie that. Sundyland have been dogged. We were good, then bad straight after that stupid uncalled for yellow for De Schlong. Then back to good. When Yaya's moves come off we look dangerous. When they don't, we look shite.

Sundyland have worked very hard thus far. Not sure they can keep it up. Those wingers can't contain AJ forever. I'd like to see Kolarov do more going forward.

I dunno, but they were as bad as each other - at one point I saw Vinnie pass it sideways to Jolene, who hit it straight back to him then pointed towards midfield (for Vinnie to hit it straight back to Jolene)

Bit confused at some comments.. think we've been ok in the first half considering this is a rotated team.

Expect us to win this.

Funny there was me thinking that Nasri looked the one most likely to make the breakthrough for us with his close control mazy bursts; and, as for Dzeko I always knew that it would take him a while to get up to speed, but that he should be left on for the full 90 minutes.
Despite impressive early surges, some woeful passing by Ya Ya; and even Barry looks to be afflicted by the disease.
And too many wrong options taken by Kolarov and Johnson, although in the former's case some rustiness has to be expected.
Great save by Hart, early on, although he was helped by the fact that it was Niklas Bendtner that he was facing.

Apparently Aguero coming on for De Jong at half-time: the yellow card is possibly partly the reason for this, because he did quite well apart from that clumsy early challenge: it will mean Ya Ya dropping back, and Barry staying back more

True. It took a while for us to wrestle control but we should kick on in the second half.

Yaya can change a game in a second. Nasri will continue mincing around doing as little as possible for as long as he's on the pitch. The difference, as I see it, is that you can tell when Yaya is having an off day. For Nasri it's impossible to tell his best from his worst, as both are crap.
