Appeal rejected

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I am sure that the FA would have looked at the tackle from just about every angle possible ..and in HR and frame by frame before coming to the correct decision.

If you came here debating properly without the smug attitude you would probably be welcome.

How would you like to discuss this.

This is a serious question and not intended to provoke any hostility.

As the whole footballing world knows Man City are now at the top of the league.
This was due purely because of the sale to your wealthy owner.
Do City fans think that it would have been better to have achieved success through organic growth or are you happy in the knowledge that everyone thinks you have just 'bought' success.

What total and utter bollocks how do you know what the FA panel would do.Once again you are summising and trying to be all clever you dont have to agree with anyone on here but please try to debate rather than lecture.

Hi mr_nool If you carefully read any of my posts the only smugness is aimed at those who are vile in their comments.

Yes, I'm perfectly happy with that. Growing organically has become impossible since the introduction of Sky money and the closed shop revenue from the Champions League. Your club along with the other G-14 members have made sure of that.
I also fail to see how organic growth based on a mountain of debt is something to strive for.

Your smugness was evident the second you registered, it was clear from your original username that you were smug.

Question for you, did Milijas deserve his red card against Arsenal?

How do I know? Because that is what they do.. They look at the footage and then make a decision based on the evidence in front of them.
I may be wrong but I doubt it.

I'm happy as the proverbial Larry. I'm happier knowing that scum like you are pissed off that we've 'bought success'. Remember when we were yo-yoing divisions and most munes came out with the "I'd like to see City back in the Premiership for our Derby matches"?? Well you got your wish!

Most fans of other clubs I know are just happy to see you rags off the top.

Speaking on 'organic growth' remember that team of Lampard, Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Carrick, Defoe, etc at West Ham. How far did that take them? What division are West Ham in now?

Our two 25 man premiership squads cost 329 and 269m resepctively to assemble.
Ours includes 25.5 million of talent which is absent, so we are leading the league with a squad assembled quickly and at roughly 10% greater cost than your own
Owing to your many outstanding years of success your squad assembly should be evolutionary (ours revolutionary) so it is odd that so much money has been spent by your team.
You are I believe old enough to remember (and perhaps even been at) the game where Joe Royle fielded a side whose collective weekly wages (including the subs) was less than Roy Keane's then 92k per week.
How did you feel about that?

You will remember around the time Michael Knighton arrived & Ferguson bought every expensive player he could get his hands on to add to an already moneybags side bought by Atkinson. The equivalent now would be signing Ferdinand (at his peak), Gomez from Bayern, Rooney, Gerrard (at his peak), Silva, John Terry (at his peak) Lampard (at his peak) and about 7 or 8 others for what (at the time) was top money.

In the modern market that would cost double what City have spent yet it took years for Ferguson to turn them into title challengers. Indeed they actually finished below a City team made from kids & cheap signings & lost FIVE ONE to that team.

When they eventually added even more players & won the league. How did you feel ?

Hi FF,
Swearing and smugness have nothing to with eachother. I do recall you being smug from the start. Your alter-ego/friend started posting inflammatory posts (had they actually been from a City fan) from the off, without first stating that he was a red. Had he/you done that from the start, I'm quite certain that you'd gotten a different reception.
Choosing to call people up on their language (both in regards to swearing and to slang like innit) and adopting a holier-than-thou attitude regarding foul language is smug.

I will after this one last question mate.

FF,

Did Rooney deserve the punishment the FA gave him for his foul mouthed tirade into the TV camera last season?
