If you played exactly the same game, took the bloke in the Sky studio into a time machine back 30 years then swapped him for Dzeko, Joe Royle would have managed to win about 35 headers, some of which would have been from shite balls into the box which he had no right to get near, yet he did. The two Everton CB's would have had bruises on their faces, not from elbows, but from Joe's arse & thighs as he jumped over their heads to get on the end of shite crosses, not to score, just to keep the ball in play so somebody else may get a toe to it. They would have bruises on their chests from where he landed on them afterwards. It would be one of their most uncomfortable nights in football, & they would tell their mates about it afterwards.

City would have 3 points.

Nice theory Ted, but in reality about 70% of Joe's challenges in the modern game would be whistled up as fouls and he'd have 2 yellows by half-time. The game isnt the same anymore and the old fashioned bullying centre forward a la Mick Harford, Billy Whitehurst, John Fashanu is a very rare beast if seen at all, especially at the top level.

The game has changed and yes many would have been considered a foul now but it does reflect the desire Joe showed to get on the end of a cross.Any sort of cross was worthy of putting in an effort. And there would always be the chance that he might get there first and draw a foul out of a defender desperate not to be beaten.

Dzeko is not showing that desire.

Joe wasn't like Mick Harford or John Fashanu, he was just fearless. Micah does exactly the same as Joe would have done but with less technique, intelligence & can't direct the headers. When Micah goes up, all of a sudden we we win balls in an area where we keep losing them. That's because Micah tries his hardest to do that, Dzeko doesn't. Dzeko needs the ball right on his head or he's not interested. Joe was a bigger more skillful version of Micah, that's all.

Alternatively, rather than leaving the club, he couild just try fighting a bit harder for the ball & see if that works.

Corradi, whilst hopeless, at least tried his best.

Dzeko has produced some of the most half hearted displays Ive seen from a City player this season since Samaras and if I had my way he would have been sold this winter and replaced by someone who fits our style of play and who has some bottle.

Dzeko is an embarrasment.

DZEKO IS embarrasment fucking hell listen to this guy he must be te best maneger ever ,DZEKO is in history of German and Bosnian footbal forever and he is still young who are u ? i cant say he have shity ganes but embarrasment ,i have daubts abaut your nick name also grob....

Points is Doug, there is a paucity of crosses for him to actually get on the ned of. It all goes straight down the middle and takes us 4 hours to get anywhere near the oppositions box. Crosses, especially early ones, are something we very rarely do if at all.

Ted, at the moment and last night especially, Joe would have spent most of the game with his hands on his arse or with his hands up screaming for the odd ball or cross to come in to the box which would never come! He'd spend the night watching us pass it sideways 45 yards fom goal.

There were balls into the box, not quality, but they were there, on the floor & in the air & there were plenty to win at the halfway line, including the one which led to Everton scoring where Edin dived rather than fight for the ball, which is my point in a nutshell.

In fairness to Dzeko i dont think it was a happy smile, it was a smile after he had fouled Fellaini and fellaini got wound up, i think the smile was intended to wind him up more, it was more of a "how do you like that you cnut" smile, thats the way i seen it as one of the Everton polayers then tried to calm fellaini down after it, why would he need calming down if its a jolly good laugh smile?

I think Aguero was as poor as Dzeko last night, there was one time he got one on one with the defender in the 1st half and knew he was going nowhere and just blasted the ball against the defender half heartedly in an attempt to shoot, the old Aguero would of jinked, created a bit of space and hit the target.

You've completely misread it. Dzeko and Fellaini had been having a laugh and a joke for a while before that. And the incident in question happened after Dzeko fired yet another left-footed wankbomb about 3 miles high and wide. Jonny Heitinga went and gripped Fellaini and was like, "Fucking concentrate you weird looking prick, we've got a cunting match to see out. Stop giggling with that useless lanky knob and get your head back in the game."

Incidentally, I noticed that Agüero was pissed off with Dzeko's greediness, laziness and general shitness on a fair few occasions last night, this incident being one of them.

And so was Mancini.

Dzeko is so one dimensional, total up and down player that mixes with Aguero and Silva like a Your Grammy and Nude photos! He must go. He doesnt fit, and at the end he is all smiles???? This was a huuuge game you dickbag and your makin' memories with the team that just made you look like a lazy labia ??????
You know what, screw it, bring back Tevez. Thats right I said it ! lol Let him get fit, and then the first game of the 2012-12 campaign when he notches 2 goals all will be forgiven !

HAHAHAHAHA NOW MOTHERFUCKER SMILES HAHAHAHAHAAWFOL and Kun was so good last night but dint have luck and Nasri they all play well only that asshole Edin pih hang him hahahahahahahahaha

Palus mate, you need to wind it in a bit mate.

Stop taking criticism ofDzeko as a personal slight on yourself.

Yes a number of players were poor last night and they have been criticised on this board, the difference being they tried their best and came up short.

Can you honestly say that you believe Dzeko tried his best last night?
