I was brought up as a United fan and supported them through the 90's, fell out of love with football in the early 2000's, only come back to following it in the last few years. Found it difficult to wear the red shirt anymore, cant put myself into the same catagory as the Utd fans anymore. All the trash talk about City "buying" the FA cup and trying to "buy" the league is rubbish. If the League was ever for sale then it was sold to Utd a long time ago. The team doesnt even try to be good anymore because they think that they dont have to and they'll always be the best (look what happened to Liverpool). The last time I was at old trafford there was 0 atmosphere and the away fans were singing louder whilst losing. I respect were City have come from, yeah theres alot of money going round but thats football in the 21st century. There seems to be a real team spirit going around the blues fans, I havent been to a city game but I plan to go to one soon to see what its all about from the stands!
I dont feel as though I could ever wear the Blue shirt after being a Utd fan as many might say its city's day now and im glory supporting but I'll never be a Utd fan again because i just think the attitude of the club and players stinks.
Not trying to jump on the bandwagon here, I dont feel like a city fan because of my background, just sharing my opinion about Manchester football.
