I'm pretty sure this is totally illegal by UEFA standards, and the reason that Liechtenstein don't have their own league.

The difference being is the dynamic of Great Britain and the make up of its borders. Not to mention the inclusion of Wrexham, Newport, Swansea, Cardiff in english footballs structure

So more than all 3 divisions together or each division separately?

Bobby, Legally, within the Union, Scotland and England are equal partners. That is not the case with Wales who are a conquered nation and joined the union because we took them in with us. That is why the plag of St David is missing fron the Union Flag and why they have an assembly rather than a parliament. The Welsh parliament is the one in Westminster.
The Scots are going to vote to see whather they wish to remain within the Union, The Welsh cannot do that, All this is reflected throughout a variety of organisations and is why those Welsh clubs play in England.

Berwick. End of discussion. Oh, and the Welsh are discussing having a referendum on independence too. Two consecutive Plaid Cymru election victories would trigger an independence vote.

Socs, go away and read up on that properly Mate. Whatever the Welsh may decide, they will need to square it with the Central Goverment. Legally and historically, they remain a conquered nation...Yep, even from all those years ago.

john68 wrote:Funny that because I was just reading up on it recently, The point was brought up by a couple of lawyers discussing the legalities and complexities of the Scottish vote. The difference was clearly mentioned.
It is a far more complex issue than can be easily debated on here mate.

I worked at Westminster as a parliamentary researcher at the time mate, the MP who I worked for was on the committee for the bill. The matters and implications were discussed at great length and I stayed awake through most of it. The lawyers have it wrong, Wales has as much right to an independence vote as Scotland. Real difference is it has about a 1% chance of being successful, compared to about a 25% chance in Scotland!
