This way around they are the ones paying out. Rumour has it that he didn't see eye to eye with his chairman. If this rumour has no substance to it, this is the most ridiculous sacking for a good while.

We went there and won 3-1, leapfrogging them in the league, but went down anyway a few weeks later. It pissed down like you wouldn't believe that night. Does anyone else remember it? The ground was really state of the art for back then (1998) and the atmosphere was cracking.

Yeah, I was down near the front. Or was that the 1-1 the previous season. I am not sure any more.

THIS!!! Being born in Huddersfield I always keep an eye on whats going on there. Just spoke to my father who's a massive fan and the fans are no longer behind him. Seems to have fiddled about to much with his tactics and thrown good money after bad!

The 1-1 was on Sky on a Friday night. Wijnhaard scored for them. It was a good result for us at the time, given our shitness and their play-off hopes. Funny what you remember.
Even funnier that I've no recollection of who scored for us.
