It wouldnt have come out though if we hadnt played crap in the last 2 games and lost them both and given the odd,albeit I thought very minimal,sign of discontent at Swansea.

It's not a dig at Mancini - it's part of the club's plan to ease Tevez back into the team with the minimum amount of negative reaction from the fans by using fan-favourites to get us used to the idea that he will feature at some point. Mancini himself has been involved in it too, with some of his comments.

How desperate is this "article" 5 months in the waiting and that's the best they can come out with. It was bound to happen though when you look at the headline making clubs. City dropping to second is the only thing they have to write about this week:

• United - never a bad word can be mentioned
• Chelsea - job done they went after AVB and got him the sack so no story here. If he was still manager the "article" about City wouldn't of been written
• Arsenal - Since they somehow grew a backbone and keep banging in 95minute winners Wenger is safe from the sensational headlines
• Spurs - Despite losing 3 in a row and looking like they are now in a battle for 4th nothing can be said about their favourite pet grass. This is what should have been on the back pages this week.

The Manchester title race gives the media the perfect angle for their reporting. In the next 10 games expect much more of the "good" versus "evil" type reporting.... Can the young homegrown players who didn't cost a penny and play for the love of the game beat the worldwide mercs who hate the club and are only here for the £500,000 a week and want to leave if they are 1 point off the top of the table.

What's sad though is that there is almost no difference between a shit newspaper writing a knee-jerk reaction article, trying to sell papers just for the sake of it, and serious fans on a message board that after two (2!) consecutive defeats go on like it's freaking armageddon. I mean, a poll between Mancini and Mourinho was created hours after the defeat and then yesterday one of the legend poster starts a thread with the title "lets panic". Many posters on here as just as knee jerk as the papers. Actually, this paper was less knee jerk than quite a few.

I think it's time for John68 to write one of his war-trenches-courage analogies.

I don't know about the 'Let's Panic' thread but I started the Poll due to a few posters bringing the Mourinho issue up again, and if you look at that thread it actually goes to show that the majority are behind Mancini, thus turning out to be a positive thread.

That's what these boards are for, talking about, and through, the issues. Note that we don't make a story up with some unknown source and try to turn it into fact. That's the difference my friend.

It didn't offend at all mate, it's actually good that you stated it. With many boards it's a way to air grievances or joy, dependant on the occassion, and we can see a whole spectrum of opinions on this issue. I don't think people are complaining about this individual game, I think it's a bit deeper - being so far in front and cut back, going out of the CL early or our current style of play. What I personally like to see is 'Why' they have that opinion rather than 'That was shit' or 'Sack him now'. But just as in life, people have a way of dealing with disappointment. Sometimes it's to blame someone else, sometimes it's by getting angry and rant. Either way, it's all good to me and shows a level of emotion that we all have regarding our club.
