Unbelievable article based on nothing I am sure BUT we all know it will discussed as if it's 100% true on radio programmes etc etc and things like Sunday Supplement.

It wouldnt have come out though if we hadnt played crap in the last 2 games and lost them both and given the odd, albeit I thought very minimal, sign of discontent at Swansea.

No doubt I will see all out fighting this morning

There would have been a lot more discontent amongst Bell, Lee, Summerbee, Doyle & Co during a performance like that.

You don't think there's the slightest chance there may be something in this? I know I know, the Star is the most pathetic of newspapers (just behind The Mirror in the shit-stirring league) but we've heard so many stories in Mancini's tenure about his training methods pissing players off it just makes me wonder. How many players have so far come and said they want Tevez back in the team? Micah did so only this week, is it just me or is saying that a bit of a dig at Mancini? I could be reading too much into it.

"but we've heard so many stories in Mancini's tenure about his training methods pissing players off"

Have we really or have the press made you think we have? Can you tell me what they were and who they involved?

I recall mention re Bellamy, which of course was ages ago,and I firmly believe that was a load of garbage.

Something like this was always going to be printed in the papers now we've been knocked off the top, anything to try and help United to claim the title again.

This. Two abysmal performances have opened the door for a toilet tabloid to print this bollocks.

It's not a dig at Mancini - it's part of the club's plan to ease Tevez back into the team with the minimum amount of negative reaction from the fans by using fan-favourites to get us used to the idea that he will feature at some point. Mancini himself has been involved in it too, with some of his comments.

This ^^^ The club even tweeted about Micah's comments and said do you agree, they must be trying to see the fans reaction about him coming back into the team.

How desperate is this "article" 5 months in the waiting and that's the best they can come out with. It was bound to happen though when you look at the headline making clubs. City dropping to second is the only thing they have to write about this week:
  • United - never a bad word can be mentioned
  • Chelsea - job done they went after AVB and got him the sack so no story here. If he was still manager the "article" about City wouldn't of been written
  • Arsenal - Since they somehow grew a backbone and keep banging in 95minute winners Wenger is safe from the sensational headlines
  • Spurs - Despite losing 3 in a row and looking like they are now in a battle for 4th nothing can be said about their favourite pet grass. This is what should have been on the back pages this week.

The Manchester title race gives the media the perfect angle for their reporting. In the next 10 games expect much more of the "good" versus "evil" type reporting.... Can the young homegrown players who didn't cost a penny and play for the love of the game beat the worldwide mercs who hate the club and are only here for the £500,000 a week and want to leave if they are 1 point off the top of the table.

Football 365 has mentioned the Star's headline and pointed out that they ran something similar 'ROBERTO MANCINI FACES MANCHESTER CITY MUTINY' on February 2nd. Which was followed by 4 league wins without conceding a goal.

Perhaps the Star is on our side and just has strange motivational methods

I mean, a poll between Mancini and Mourinho was created hours after the defeat and then yesterday one of the legend poster starts a thread with the title "lets panic". Many posters on here as just as knee jerk as the papers. Actually, this paper was less knee jerk than quite a few.

I think it's time for John68 to write one of his war-trenches-courage analogies.

I don't know about the 'Let's Panic' thread but I started the Poll due to a few posters bringing the Mourinho issue up again, and if you look at that thread it actually goes to show that the majority are behind Mancini, thus turning out to be a positive thread.

That's what these boards are for, talking about, and through, the issues. Note that we don't make a story up with some unknown source and try to turn it into fact. That's the difference my friend.

Yes I know why you started the thread, it wasn't a jibe at you. And yes, it would be kind of stupid to have a message board where you couldn't discuss certain things and always had to pretend that everything was la-di-da. I just wish that there wouldn't be such dramatic reactions, either negative or aiming to be positive, after merely two losses. ...

But then again who am I kidding...There's nothing to do about ut. My post was actually quite unnecessary. Sorry Beefy if I offended you.

It didn't offend at all mate, it's actually good that you stated it. With many boards it's a way to air grievances or joy, dependant on the occassion, and we can see a whole spectrum of opinions on this issue. I don't think people are complaining about this individual game, I think it's a bit deeper - being so far in front and cut back, going out of the CL early or our current style of play. What I personally like to see is 'Why' they have that opinion rather than 'That was shit' or 'Sack him now'. But just as in life, people have a way of dealing with disappointment. Sometimes it's to blame someone else, sometimes it's by getting angry and rant. Either way, it's all good to me and shows a level of emotion that we all have regarding our club.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Doug has never posted about any fighting and moaning about players when he's posting about the training sessions. Doug's there in person. I trust the man on his training reports and if he keeps posting that everybody's all fine and dandy, knowing he was present and a reporter reports Balotelli dropkicked Zabaleta in the face and threw a dart at Micah whilst Joe Hart ran around naked than I know who's correct.

Perhaps You have forgotten You many times that kind of shit has been throw at the Club (mind, not just at the manager) since the appointment of the italian catenacciaro.
an article like this has been precooked in every tabloid desk drawer since day one when the moneybag Bedouins, once just waiters of the Governor's Residence during the glory days of the Empire, dared to appoint a continental nobody and sacked the brillant British media Darling. it's the easiest way to undermine the Club, which is charged to buy the English history.
These people are ashamed od nothing: You perhaps would remember mrs R. Brooks while mading up the life of the Royal Family, amongst others.

For all the love I have for the British Culture, I never coped to understand why so many people cant equate that tabloids' filth just exists because a market of idiots pay their wages and revenues. Imho there is a sole equal example of human "naivety": the Americans who cannot equate their murders statistics with the free sale of any kind of weapons.

no offence deemed to anybody, in my intention.
