I think I'd be more concerned about his victim. His career/future is fucking irelevant.
Hope he gets to share a cell with her dad

i agree. after reading it this morning i thought -- fuck me...how can one of them be acquitted and the other convicted?
i'd like a show of hands of those who have NOT fucked a girl who was "too drunk." And the article said she even agreed to it.
maybe i have a rapist past.
bizarre...got to be more to this than what i read. if he's really been convicted of rape for basically fucking a drunk girl then something's not right with the world.
Anyone have more details here to share? No, i meant about drunk girls you've fucked. thanks.
cheers

I think that the fact she went back to the hotel with Macdonald, alone, in a drunk condition, & had sex with him, then suddenly found Ched appearing from nowhere, like Batman, is the difference. She didn't go back to the hotel with Ched & he took advantage of her condition.
If it's true that she got in a cab, hopelessly drunk, with a 7ft stranger she'd met on a street corner & ended up in his bedroom though, I think she seriously needs to have a word with herself, as if she continues down that road it could work out even worse for her in the future.

Why have you chosen to highlight that bit & not the following lines where I have slagged off Evans & stated that I think there are more who should also be locked up ?
Any particular reason ?

I agreed with your other points, but not your apparent priorities.
As I'm not a nodding dog, I chose to focus on the bit I wanted to comment on.
