Exactly. Jeff Whitley and Bradley Wright-Phillips are two that immediately come to mind. One other bad thing to come out of this story (apart from the poor victim) is the fact that a lot of the media are starting the story with the words 'former Manchester City player Ched Evans...' rather than 'Sheffield United player Ched Evans...' as if deliberately using this story to portray City in a bad light.

I think that the fact she went back to the hotel with Macdonald, alone, in a drunk condition, & had sex with him, then suddenly found Ched appearing from nowhere, like Batman, is the difference. She didn't go back to the hotel with Ched & he took advantage of her condition.

If it's true that she got in a cab, hopelessly drunk, with a 7ft stranger she'd met on a street corner & ended up in his bedroom though, I think she seriously needs to have a word with herself, as if she continues down that road it could work out even worse for her in the future.

you know i had a read of a different article just now, and kinda feel differently about what i posted before.

i didn't realize that McDonald allegedly just met her on the street and that they had CCTV evidence that showed how completely wasted she was. Indeed if they just happened upon an opportunistic drunk girl and really escorted her into the hotel and took advantage of her then it is a different story for me.

How is it different? I thought the girl was hanging out and drinking with them all night and knew them. That subtle difference for me is a huge problem. A girl you know and are drinking with all night that gets shitfaced with you and you fuck her? that's one thing...bundling a wasted stranger off the street and back into your hotel room and essentially gang fucking her? whole other story.

i still don't get how McDonald is innocent tho if Ched is guilty. Odd. In fact, McDonald is the prowler out there collecting her off the street. You could argue he's even perhaps more to blame if i understand the situation correctly.

Also, i will still entertain stories of your sexploits with drunken girls if required. I am a man of my word. Unlike CityGer or Ted who cannot figure out how to make a bet with each other.

Sad thing with all this is that we all tread such a fine line.

The number of times when I was younger shit like this happened, jesus I spent half of my twenties picking up wasted slags for a ride. I suppose in this case there must have been some convincing evidence, such as the video which may well have shown her to be literally on the verge (or beyond) unconscious?

But even so, i have to wonder how much the decision to cry rape had anything to do with finding out his job and relative wealth?
