I wonder if there are any stats to back that up ?

Id say there is a definite suggestion that dempsey has contributed significantly to his teams season with his goals and assists. How can you need additional evidence to see that.

Im hearing that scholes had played 6 games when these votes were cast. Leave dempsey out of it, thats not the issue at hand

No Scotty Parker this year? Should have stayed at West Ham.

And Dempsey the fourth best player in the country? Give over.

He has had a sensational season, all the more so given he plays for an unfashionable club. I have no argument at all with him being named

the problem honestly is that we've got 4-5 players who will split that vote, isn't it?

you could argue any one of Aguero, Silva, Yaya or Vinnie -- and legit shout for Hart as well. 5 players...most teams don't have 2 who would be a reasonable candidate.

cheers

If i were a Stoke, Norwich, Everton, etc fan, i would really wonder why the best transfer in England (this season) and the player that has the most assist in the league, aren't in the list (Aguero & Silva).

If i start talking about what a season Cisse and Ba had or Cabaye, then i wouldn't stop untill tomorrow.

FFS, even gypsy Giggs had a better season that than Ginger cunt.

I've read the Opta stats which have Lescott as the best English cb . I recon they'd also have him above all the other nationalities as well. If it was John Terry he'd have been amongst the favourites. That would be 6.

It shouldn't be based on club affiliation though so it should just mean that there are less votes for Scoles & Dempsey.

I've no problem with Rooney being a candidate because he & refs are the only reason Utd are challenging. The Scholes nomination is an absolute scandal though. He hasn't even been consistently good in the games he's played.

Whatever he does though, he automatically gets rated a minimum 7 out of 10. Richard Keys actually said yesterday that he thought Scholes should get the award, even though he admitted he hasn't been as good as Silva. Absolute joke.

There's only one award that matters this season. I'm sure our lads would quite happily forego these individual award for it too. These snubs should only serve as a motivation to our squad for the final three games.

Apparently Aguero pulled more votes than anybody else, it's just a shame they were split over the 2 categories.

Might have been interesting had he only been nominated for one.

It was probably designed like that so he couldn't wrestle the title away from vP. It was a little strange for a 24 year old to be in the 'Youngster' category. Even stranger that Walker won it.

The [strike]Red Tops[/strike] Writer's award just shows what they think of Man City, not even able to give credit where credit's due. Scholes, you're having a laugh. Pathetic fuckers.

Maybe all these "writers" (ha, what a joke that is, Samuel the exception...winter can FUCK OFF for his attitude to Mancini in that prezza) got all sentimental over scholes. once he finally fucks off back to gingernut land to look after his ginger kids they can move on to someone else...another bastion of morality...someone like giggs...oh, theyve done him already, crosse eyed sports pervonality of the year, no less

I so hope we batter scum n Monday which will go a long way proving the "writers" opinions count for nothing. Some have said shrek deserves to be there - I'm not sure he does. I really don't think he has been that great and that's not seen through my sky blue tinted glasses.
