What a horrible twat he is.
napoli were worse. cheating and diving are part of their tactics (and the same is true for nearly all of the continental clubs.) sadly, i'm convinced we need to cheat more if we're to succeed in european comp.
I cant agree. Chelsea and Drogba in particular were a disgrace with the diving. I would love to see "retrospective action" or better still Referee's assistant on a monitor able to advise officials in game, similar to how they do in rugby union.
The game should be clamping down on cheating, we shouldnt be saying "cheat more"
I agree with your last line but the head of FIFA Mr Sepp Blatter thinks that cheating is ok & just 'being clever' , so it's unlikely to happen.
the commentators didn't help matters last night by acting like Drogba's antics were "cute" or just that of a seasoned professional.
it's one thing if he used his technique to create the foul, but the all out cheating antics in football aren't tolerated in ANY other sport i've ever seen to be honest.
Even in the NBA which has a track record of players who "flop" as we call it here, there isn't the glorification given to it...and refs usually aren't one to fall prey to it as oftenly.
it's diabolical, and seeing the success some players have just propagates it, and gets kids thinking this is how you play.
Drogba was a joke last evening, and to think the headlines are all about how fucking fantastic he was. Sad.
And then there's our Mario who actually GETS fouled and couldn't get a whistle to save his life. He's probably so confused and frustrated by refereeing that he doesn't even know how to respond to the niggly little kicks and pushes that ought to add up to some free kicks and cards during the course of a match.
