Do you honestly think for one second that if a club brings in the former management team of Barcelona & the former team coach of Barca is currently unemployed, that the world's press are all waiting for a few knobs on Mancityfans.net to come up with the possibility of him replacing Mancini ? They really won't mention this if we keep quiet ? Really ? It never occurred to them ?
Get real ffs. Guardiola is going to be linked with this job until either he gets it or he gets a job somewhere else. What the fuck else could possibly happen if you appoint the blokes who gave him the Barca job ? The press will be all over this week in week out.
As far as Mancini's 5 year contract goes, for one: the Sheikh is not so stupid that he won't have put clauses in it, one of which is probably qualification for the Champions League later stages, two: if you bring in a management team like this you are not doing it short term & you are not doing it as a trial to see if they can work with the manager, they are here to stay, you are putting them in charge of the club, manager, everything, three: they did not give Mancini a five year contract, Khaldoon & the Sheikh did (probably in consultation with football people such as the incompetent Marwood & others) & these guys would not take the job if they weren't given the assurances that they would be allowed do it to the best of their ability. If that means that they decide changing the manager is the way to go, they will do it, & won't even miss a beat.
Marwood, Mancini & most of the players, are on trial here, make no mistake.
Mate: do I have to get real?
please read Your post and You'll find the answer from Yourself... honestly and with all respect that we both know I have for You: a 5 year contract it's not a 5 year contract because there should be a clause; the best blokes available for a manager who want to buy personnel for playing passing & moving game are, instead, in to clear off the manager; a manager, You all keep failing to pay attention, that come from a tradition which is different from the English one: continental manager, and moreso italians, are more than happy to share the market decision with the CEO/Chairmen and sporting directors. all Mancini wants is a team of qualified professionals that when they come to AD and meet the Sheikh and agreed certain moves on the market, then those move come true, instead of getting Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell on the touchline when the preseason is over. Did You see today Hazard, Mata and Oscar passing and moving like they were the London Philarmonica? Do You know what personnel Mancini agreed with Khakdon and Mansur in May? Are You the same Ted Hughes who have eloquently dissertated for almost an year on what kind of player might take the Mancini system forward?
But yet You keep inferring that Mancini wanted AJ, Sinclair and Rodwell, instead of Sanchez, Mata, Hazard, Goetze and maybe Muniain? And that's why? why the hell he should come to AD ask and agree with Owner and Chairman always the same kind of player, that You have so eloquently portrayed many times, only to end with the usual King Kenny/Mark Hughesesque kind of vintage players of unproven quality???
Please, my friend, at least tell me that You get some fees to advocate the shoe - seller! In the meanwhile we will have a laugh together when next window, having finally put all the wheels in the engine, we will enjoy a professional devised and executed market strategy, from the meeting in AD to the unveil of the new acquisition/s within the start of the preseason training camp.
as for destabilising: for one, I never said and more importantly nor even thought that You deem to undermine. You are one of the most genuine breed and born Blue who only seek for the best for Your beloved Club and I can only try to learn from You how to love this Club. But one stated the obvious, don't You think that when the most influential fans among closed circles keep stirring shite, that shite then spread around other circles, talked into the pubs and ends up with moaning and booing on the stadium stands? why do You think that this great Club have suffered probably the longest rollercaster of anarchy ever experienced by a major FC? Is it because the Club have always been skint over the last 4 decades or because any project had been undermined by the lack of patience and moaning? Do really have myself come to fucking Italy to explain to You the qualities of stability or what You stated countless times about the patience offered to Taggart can benefit also the main Club of Manchester?
Yet again, as You taught to everyone, the best manager is the one who makes less mistakes and is capable to learn from them, Mancini has already proved in the 2 most difficult leagues that he has a bright idea of football; an idea which has already paid some dividends, either in term of silverware and entertainment. A manager of this quality is to be sacked for one reason only, if it is proved beyond doubt that he is not capable to keep hold of the team! I had my first worry about such a casualty last season at the Emirates game: I was wrong and it ended in glory (some tosser keep saying despite him!). Now I have started feeling the same by the comparison of the WBA and Ajax performances: one of the weirdest thing I saw in football. I do swear and repeat that, if the season will give evidence that this fear has come to reality, I'll be first to take a plane and come to Carrington to give him the boot, personally! since then, while, for a change, we do not stop echoeing the shite made up upon Taggart's screanplay, whether they have a logical ground or not?
and for Your info, Pep Guardiola loves Catalunya as very few does and after claiming that he lost desire for active football he has been reported several times to have interest in enter the Catalan politics: this summer the "logic of the media" have massively linked him with Abramovic, who can offer almost the same challenge than City, possibly even more, when You consider that he uses to deal with his business more "unconventionally" than our beloved Owners and that his Club is based in one of the most attractive cities in the world. In spite he is still enjoying the sabbatical he had announced.
are You ready to bet with me on where will respectively be Mancini and Marwood in two-three years time?
