When all the screaming about red cards and offsides has died down you might find that the most significant thing about today's game was Valencia on the wing, giving the rags width. It's done City in in the past and it's something City haven't got much of.

You've said it yourself, why would he go down if he was clear through on goal? The answer, he wouldn't unless there was contact.

Also, isn't Taggart the main proponent of making the referee make the decision as in the penalty's unfairly earned by them last season?

We could all see the 'terrible decisions' line coming out though. Just to prove that it all evens itself out, eh?

With all the cards flying around today I was expecting a 2nd yellow for Rooney when he dragged the player down. Luckily, Clattenburg radioed back to Base Camp Fergie ro send in reinforcements.

Went to Lorient V Ajacio today 4-4 draw 1st half master class from "Adrian Mutu" some of his one touch play was outsatnding, Great game. two teams right at it could have ended 8 a piece, cameo from Ludivic Guily Lorient came back from 1-4 last min equaliser.

Furious about the refereeing disgrace but ok-ish about the result. Rather this than 4 points behind Chelsea.

4 points in feckin October... who gives a shit? 8 points in April's where it's at.

Chelsea never were a bigger threat than Utd & I pity anyone who still can't see that after today's events.

I disagree. Chelsea are a MUCH better side than United and had anyone half decent reffed it they would have won. I honestly think Chelsea have looked shit hot so far, far better than either us or United and I see them as genuine challengers. Look on the brightside, it opens up the table now and brings us much closer to the top and also breaks Chelsea's momentum.

But encourages the rags to push on knowing they are untouchable because no matter how far they fall and how bad they play or how much better the opposition they will be given 3 points and probably another title.

I get what you're saying.I guess I'm just trying to put some sort of positive spin on it. But at least we've closed the gap on Chelsea now. We can't do anything about the refs, the only thing we can control are our own performances.

Unfortunately though the rags in Van P have a real world class quality player who will score a shit load of goals. Just wish we'd got there first.

Yet again Bacon Face sets the rags up to get the big calls with his pre match moaning. How can he say they never get any decisions at Chelski? Has he already forgotten the 2 dodgy pens they got last year?
Van Puffy gone even further down in my estimation. Dirty, cheating bastard. Diving and dishing it out but getting away with it. He was influencing the ref all game

Some on here can't accept the fact that United have some good players. RVP is a cunt of the highest order but he's an exceptionally gifted player and the fact United have him worries me.

Nobody ever questioned his class, you dildos. His horrific injury record, his age & his wages were genuine concerns. Fuck off, if you can't see that as a legitimate argument against a transfer even without adding his smug rapey face & general cuntishness into the mix.

I was so furious during this fucking mess of a game that I wanted someone to break his leg.

I also wanted to punch Clattenburg in the face. And Rafael. And Rooney. And Ferguson. And Hernandez. And Van Persie the slimey fucker. Fuck him.

I still do.
