Big donkey up front , kevin fuckin Nolan in every team he has managed for the last 10 years thats his limit ffs ! Why attack the bloke when he is giving a valid, unbiased and considered opinion.
I think some fans think we are beyond being criticised. We deserve all the shit that is thrown at us IMO at present as we have been awful. Not a patch on the big power house we were last year. People are being blinkered if they can't see that we have some work to do.

Yet again, our welcome Cockney Mate, if You are interested in the atmosphere and spirit of the City camp, You MUST read Sir DH's reports, rather than the Fail and the Sun. Take it a as a very decent bet, It might help to enhance Your global understanding.
Just for clarity, my observation of what seems to be going on is from what I see of your play (having now watched a handful of full matches since the season's start). I don't even read those papers.
Quite a few things puzzle me.
Your defence is a mess. Sorry, but it is. Not a single player's fault, to my eyes, more a question of perhaps a new system that otherwise decent players are being caught out by. There's no way on earth you should have conceded both of those goals yesterday. Once is a mistake, for sure, but the second suggested nobody was heeding the warning signs. A free header on the corner of the 6 yard box is unforgivable. It would be at West Ham or Wrexham and it surprised me to sit and watch it.
Secondly, the team doesn't seem tuned in to Mancini's game anywhere near as much as it was last season.
Thirdly, there is little natural width to your play.
Finally, Mancini and Balotelli seem to be at each other's throats.
The former's days are numbered, imvho, unless this problem - which makes City look less than a sum of its very decent parts - between the dugout and the pitch can be rectified.

And last season ?
Personally I think it has nothing to do with either transfer window. The players we have now and had before this past summer are good enough to progress out of the group stage. Look at Ajax, they beat us once and tied us at the Etihad; they have De Jong and Eriksen and thats basically it. Malaga progressed for fuck's sake and they're basically in debt and sold all their "best" players (yeah they had an easier group, but still). It's not only about players' skill...its about coaching, training, and the player's egos and mindset. Clearly none of these are good enough for us yet.
I highly doubt buying De Rossi or someone else will help us progress. It's not all about just buying the "best", most renown players.
I'd like to think our current players are good enough too but the evidence is that they aren't. That's not to say that tactics, motivation etc don't need improvement. I agree they clearly do, but the departure of de Jong and a disrupted pre-season together with the non-arrival of any of Mancini's major targets means we are struggling in every competition.
we are just out of form, out of luck, out of excuses and out of answers - it will pass ;-)phips wrote:johnny crossan wrote:phips wrote:Ted Hughes wrote:johnny crossan wrote:Oh well, we can't win 'em all - or any in Europe it seems. You're right, the evidence is there but i just can't see buying another £40m player or two as the solution. Falcao and De Rossi? Maybe they would help...id love them to but from the little i've seen of Falcao, AM's offense is way different than ours and i fear he'd be horribly misused in our current system.
i feel like a changing of the tactics and coaching system is necessary before splurging more oil money on players. you can buy all the players you want but if the coaching, system, tactics, etc. are wrong, then nothing will happen. I've seen it before.
(it's currently happening here in the US with the Los Angeles Lakers. 4 outstanding players but a shit offensive system is hampering them.)

I disagree that Mancini's fate has been decided & I think his relationship with Balotelli has been misunderstood but I do agree that the present City team should be playing better, & be better organised than it is at present & I do mainly blame Mancini & his staff for that.
I don't expect that to continue though, especially now we've fucked up Europe again & have one less thing to worry about. I expect to see a big improvement by both Mancini & the team in the coming months, possibly boosted by a signing or two in Jan.
I still think we're favourites for the league, but it has been slipping away recently & we will need some big performances to get back on track.
I do believe that Bob has to get back on track if he's to keep his job too. I didn't think that was the case initially, I thought he could get away with just about anything after last season's title win, but now Tricky has joined & we've fucked up the Chumps league, I'll be surprised if his contract doesn't include that as a clause, & I recon the new guys will be evaluating Bob now & for the rest of the season, to see if they think he's the man to take us forward, & I think he knows it.

Bobby, has done all he can for Balo, he has seen himself in him as a player, The player has to do it every week, I can honestly say home or away I have never seen him play for 90 mins.Is he all that, not sure I know this in East Level 2 around me the jury has done one him, me I liked the maverick, it's time to repay the manager and the club. On Bobby the odds must be if they can bring Pep in they will, He and the twat at Madrid are his only dangers and one is ready for a job. The other will not be for them if they can get Pep, is it right no, but Bobby spoke with Monaco and this ees football NO. Ted, Pep must be on alert, I also think De Rossi could see Bobby flip, if not signed.
