I think after such a dramatic end to the season, we have been slow and sporadic this year. We can and do raise our game to our opponents level (except in Europe ... and domestically mostly resulting in draws), but in generalI we seem really flat. It's almost like a feel deadened a bit by the tremendous out pouring of emotion on the final day last season, now there hasn't been much to really stoke those fires again. I feel like i'm waiting for it but it's not coming.
The support isn't less, but right now I'm not fired up like I want to be. I was hoping that a derby win would do it, and when zaba's goal went in I was fucking up and feeling it again ... of course we know how that ended. I just feel like some spark is missing this season. I hope we find it.
Good post.We are certainly not playing like the well oiled machine that won the league. It's been a difficult season so far.Champions league was a total disaster but we have somehow
managed to hold a decent standing In the league. It's hard to pin point the problem but the team is struggling to find proper form.So many players are performing well below what they are capable of.I really hope yesterdays result will act as a spring board for better things. The result will hurt and maybe that will get them motivated for the task ahead.Anyway I certainly don't support City any less, I'm not really sure what that's about.
