In that time Mancini has brought us the FA Cup and the League title. That is hardly the result of failure.
The only season he can be reasonably criticised for is the current one and that my Pal is a long way from the end. Piccs is projecting his own fears into the future and assuming Mancini's failure, despite the evidence of previous success.
Despite the fact that when other coaches worked out how to slow or stop us last season, Mancini DID turn it round and evolved a strategy that was so successful it overhauled an 8pt deficit and won us the title, Piccs now asserts Mancini doesn't have that ability.
If we consider that our close season was catastrophic due to events well beyond Mancini's control, and we know his thoughts on that.
We know how unhappy and hamstrung Mancini felt when he was unable to get his main targets of de Rossi, Hazard or Van Penis, whilst the rags and Chelsea both strengthened.
Regarding any plan B, I have previously directed Piccs to the "City Analytics" download, where he would see that Mancini actually set City up in several different plans last season. Piccs chooses to ignore any positive evidence and focus only on the negative.
Well in his first season the first thing he did was throw away a semi final first leg lead against the shite. Then with a monumental fuck up went to Arsenal for a point that ultimately cost us Champions league football. "We aren't ready for Champions League football yet" (one of the most baffling, nonsensical and cowardly pieces of management I have ever seen from any of City's many managers) Now when we have failed in Europe, we're being told we haven't had enough European experience. Well Bob pissed one year of experience away with negativity.
The season after all season long YOU, John, claimed all season long we could win the League, but we never really challenged. Yes we won the FA Cup, Yes it was fantastic, but we did have an easy run right til the semi final.
Last season he lost his way and away from home we suffered. I had the misfortune to go to Lisbon and Swansea in the space of four days to watch two negative non performances, then soon after we had the feeble effort again at Arsenal (where Mancini always seems to lose his bottle). I believe it was only once the title was blown that they ripped up his hopeless plans and just went out and attacked....Shit or bust. Not because of any tactical genius from Bob.
This season has been pretty rancid, This calendar year has been poor away from home. That carve up yesterday had been coming for a while.
And yes our home league record is good, but seven teams have left with a result this season. And don't forget that the filth and Scouse beat us in cup games this year. The problems are spreading to our home form.
Against Everton, last game, I said that if we play like that in the 'derby', United would do the same as Everton. They'd break up our narrow and plodding attack, but the difference would be that Van Turd and The Grannyshagger, would punish us on the counter attack in a way that Scouse II didn't. Hey what a surprise, that's exactly what happened. Bob sleepwalked into it. Fuck me, if I can see it, why can't he?
So for all his plan B, plan C or D E F or G he hasn't managed to find something that works.
Pace and Width Bob. Try that.
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.
