We get to the semi final of the FA cup and if we go out it has to be down to an unlucky break after having played our bollocks off.
If we miss out on winning the prem then it has to be down to the above mentality , working our bollocks off and just missing out by sheer bad luck...if we fuck it up and the scum win by a stupid margin then it wont be acceptable and he will deserve to go.
I think thats fair enough.
Something along those lines, definitely.
Bob clearly made a difference during his initial piss boring period when he organised the defensive part of the team, & even though it was excruciating to watch, everyone knew he had a plan. Last season he started brilliantly, then it fell apart round about this time, then Tevez rescued it. This season, we have largely looked like the side which fell apart last season; beating shit teams, struggling against most of the decent ones.
He has to show us 'something' which proves that he is actually managing the team & getting something out of it which wouldn't be happening if he wasn't here & that last season was actually because of him, & not just a bunch of very talented players winning the title. I'm not even arsed about the cup tbh. I just want to see evidence that Bob can take this team & improve it & that his management skill includes getting the best out of the players he has, rather than just using the adrenaline of new faces to perk up the team. That kind of thing should be the icing on the cake, not the cake itself.
Management isn't just about signing players & dicking around with tactics. He has all the tools to at least put in a strong challenge from here, win or lose. If we surrender, like Arsenal; he goes.
