If he goes i certainly will not lose any sleep over it, bit of a pity it did not work out better for him at City as he has the ability just not the right attitude to do the business for us consitently.

I just hope we take no nosense from Milan during negotiations.Notoriuosly difficult team to deal with and have shafted us big time in the past.Have to say though i have a feeling Burgerstain et al will be well prepared for them.

I blame Marwood.

I think Mario can still become one of the best but I don't think he will & I especially don't think he will with us, or under Mancini. He has had no itention of staying in Manchester imo & the Balotelli/Mancini relationship is weird. He has barely improved at all in any aspect of football since the day we signed him. He runs about more & kicks people a bit less, but that is it. His football is worse if anything.

Another Manager may cure him or altenatively destroy him, but at least get some kind of reaction other than just the same level over & over.

Agree with others, if true, a sad ending to a story I was keen to work out, as, for all his twattyness, he's in a squad that whilst very talented, lacks a bit of character in my opinion

Or 'Balloselli' from The Sun, probably...

Not best pleased with this - the level of my displeasure will be determined by the transfer fee if this goes through.

Kind of agree that it doesn't seem like he'll reach his potential with us. Shame. Hope he kicks on (no pun intended) and sotrs himself out. Or rather, I hope he gets the help he needs, cos in my opinion, he has mental issues that need solving asap, else he'll unravel like insane spaghetti.

Wonder if we'll buy anyone in.....

I actually think I'll miss him.

At this stage of the season it would be madness to let Mario go at a knock down price without having a top quality replacement lined up !!!!!!

All we know he's on a plane (probably) and not on the train. Does that mean he's gone ? Platt said today that he's not going anywhere. Why would they keep denying the move until the last minute if a deal was done ?

Everton have just spent £7 mil on a midfielder nicknamed 'The Bouncer'. Could there be a large, one eyebrowed, Belgian on the horizon ?

Arsenal are supposedly in talks with David villa so he is available and odemwingie wants out of WBA too, both would be good squad players

Gudetti can do that job when he's fit, no need for panic buys or buying for the sake of buying.

That's not what Platt said though, it's what he implied. He was very careful with his wording, saying he hadn't heard Mario was gone, and that maybe Mancini would have been able to say for certain if he'd been giving the conference instead.

As much as a fan I am of his brand of thuggery and that magnificent 'fro, I think we're sorted for central midfielders and unless Mancini goes insane and starts playing midfielders as strikers in the typical Moyes style, I think it's a non-starter.

Just surprised that Everton have found money, & due to the fact that Fellaini was supposed to have been at the ET a few weeks back & Bob likes large midfield players; making a wild guess.

I'm always worried when Everton buy someone as they tend to be decent.

As Doug has said on countless training posts Gudietti will unlikely be ready to play this season as he's had a massive lay off.

David Villa would be good in the short term, potentially as a loan.

We do need another striker though as we're only 1 injury away from having no options and that almost bolloxed us last season.

I'm going to be absolutely devastated if we let Balo go.

More than when we let Buster Phillips, Jamie Pollock, Danny Tiatto, and Joey Barton go.

Wonderwall wrote:Really hope we don't get stung on this transfer, we don't need to do itso why let him go unless we get another quality replacement, which I doubt at this late stage. Seems rather silly to let him go now. Mario £20m (rumour) when Andy Carroll cost £35m.

Absolutely this.
cannot add with breaking news from Italy, cuz I am bound in the office.
Far from be Mario mad fan, I am surprised, very much. The suggestion made by many that we might struggle, in the future, to scrap Mario for decent money is an utter non semse: so why? I mean. cui prodest: hardly City, I'd guess.
Whenever Berluskoni enter the election race, You cannot ever rule out a last ditch firework to grab the ultimate bag of votes, so I don't feel my opinion strongly informed enough to dismiss this rumor as bullox, but:
a) if we sell him, it MUST be for a gain: the player is better than when he came to City. Slightly matured and tactically improved.
b) providing what either Mancini and Doug jave assessed about Guidetti come back, what if one of the remaining 3 strikers gets a serious injury as the League and Cup races get heated? Do City actually need, urgently, 20-25 mil euro?

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

I still reckon he's staying ... probably just been given a few days Paternity or summit ... I could be wrong of course but I'd be surprised if he goes before the summer unless one of the Italian teams actually stump up the cash we want rather than the cheese roll and a pack of crisps offer they usually try to wangle ... cents

When we got rid of Clough I went out with my mates and played a game of hide and seek in honour of him.
