If he goes i certainly will not lose any sleep over it, bit of a pity it did not work out better for him at City as he has the ability just not the right attitude to do the business for us consitently.

I think Mario can still become one of the best but I don't think he will & I especially don't think he will with us, or under Mancini. He has had no itention of staying in Manchester imo & the Balotelli/Mancini relationship is weird. He has barely improved at all in any aspect of football since the day we signed him. He runs about more & kicks people a bit less, but that is it. His football is worse if anything.

Another Manager may cure him or altenatively destroy him, but at least get some kind of reaction other than just the same level over & over.

Agree with others, if true, a sad ending to a story I was keen to work out, as, for all his twattyness, he's in a squad that whilst very talented, lacks a bit of character in my opinion

Not best pleased with this - the level of my displeasure will be determined by the transfer fee if this goes through.

That's not what Platt said though, it's what he implied. He was very careful with his wording, saying he hadn't heard Mario was gone, and that maybe Mancini would have been able to say for certain if he'd been giving the conference instead.

As much as a fan I am of his brand of thuggery and that magnificent 'fro, I think we're sorted for central midfielders and unless Mancini goes insane and starts playing midfielders as strikers in the typical Moyes style, I think it's a non-starter.

As Doug has said on countless training posts Gudietti will unlikely be ready to play this season as he's had a massive lay off.

David Villa would be good in the short term, potentially as a loan.

We do need another striker though as we're only 1 injury away from having no options and that almost bolloxed us last season.

Far from be Mario mad fan, I am surprised, very much. The suggestion made by many that we might struggle, in the future, to scrap Mario for decent money is an utter non semse: so why? I mean. cui prodest: hardly City, I'd guess.
Whenever Berluskoni enter the election race, You cannot ever rule out a last ditch firework to grab the ultimate bag of votes, so I don't feel my opinion strongly informed enough to dismiss this rumor as bullox, but:
a) if we sell him, it MUST be for a gain: the player is better than when he came to City. Slightly matured and tactically improved.
b) providing what either Mancini and Doug jave assessed about Guidetti come back, what if one of the remaining 3 strikers gets a serious injury as the League and Cup races get heated? Do City actually need, urgently, 20-25 mil euro?
