Anyone else thinking bob will give him a start today hoping he pulls some magic out of his ass to bump up that price anymore?

As for the whole botang thing. Jerome and prince are brothers yes but from 2 different mothers and 2 completely different ways of life. Jerome was the privileged one that actually lived with the father who was a German footballer and prince was pretty much the bastard and grew up in the slums. Not saying I need him but I'd always take a player with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. Don't think we need another midfielder though.

TRANSFER LATEST
La Gazetta dello Sport says: "Happy ending in the negotiations between Milan and London. Shortly, it will be officially announced on the Milan Channel (the club's tv channel). Mario has sent a text message to friends saying: "I'm coming"

Doubt we'll see mario in a city shirt again, he won't play tonight either, can't see us risking his fitness prior to a £20m move. Seriously hope KPB isn't coming the other way... Wouldn't mind that el shaarwary though or however the fuck you spell it. Would be worthwhile getting his wages of f the books, saving a few bob until the summer, when we could maybe sell dzeko and buy either cavani or falcao, and utilise guidetti as 4th choice.

I like SSN's take on this.

It is thought he will accept a pay cut just to leave city.

Cunts.

:(

First De Jong, now Mario. We need some characters (who can play) to take their places. Over the past few years City has had great players who also have 1000% more personality than snidey anonymous teams of cunts like found on the scum, dippers, and spuds.

Hope he can get it together and good luck

I hope we have a £20 million plus replacement lined up right now ??????

I cant imagine for one minute MCFC would leave us with just three strikers for a league title and FA push ????

Here is hoping Aguero, Tevez or Dzeko dont get injured tonight .....
Not really here

I wish him luck but glad he's gone, he has been awful this season and the only thing he has brought to the table is hassle.

I'm very interested in how much the deal is worth though? He has over 2 years left to run on his contract hasn't he? Can't see it being less than £20 mil surely?

Correct me if I'm wrong but if 2 years remain on the contract and he's on £150k a week that would be £15.6 mil buyout to start with? Or have I got it totally wrong?

we'll save 15.6 in wages using your maths plus we'll get whatever the transfer fee is (allegedly 20m). His salary there is again allegedly less than here but our fee is whatever we can agree and not tied to the balance of his wages.
Big pity but Gandini tweeting it now

That could also be the "wage-cut" the press are talking about. But yeah, in a nutshell.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Wish him well and look forward to watching how he does for Milan and Italy. I still think in 10 years people will be talking about what he could have done, but I hope we've got a sell on clause, just in case he realises how good he could be.

The premier league will be a duller place without him, but I'd rather the 'entertainers' were elsewhere for us to watch and enjoy.

Thanks for the memories Mario. Great fun. Terrible signing from a football perspective but a couple of big, big, goals which helped us win trophies & will forever be a City champion.

A couple of big goals is the absolute minimun we could expect from such a player though. I would expect Darren Bent or anyone else to chip in with some big goals in this team. Bellamy would have done if we'd kept him. Mario should have produced much much more.

Best penalty taker I've ever seen but not even in the top 100 best strikers I've seen. Maybe will be one day, we'll see.

Good luck to him but on reflection, I'm glad he's gone. He was never really here imo, not in his mind. Just passing through.

Sad to see him go. His own worst enemy at times. The first goal against the rags at the swamp was a thing of beauty. Refs allowed him to be kicked and hacked by the opposition - scandalelous.

Wonder if we've got a buy-back clause.

Dunno about that but we will have a sell on percentage almost certainly.

As much as I said I wanted to see him gone something about me is going to miss him very much. I think many of us feel this way probably do the fact that many call him an idiot but at least he was our idiot. Good luck ballo.

I'm sorry to see him go. If we don't replace him then it will look like an FFP decision. We already would have written off 2/5 off his original transfer fee so instead of amortising a further 4m this year, we will be writing back whatever we receive over £12m plus possibly (depending on terms) saving about 3m in wages. Net effect on the accounts of between +9m and +18m, depending on fee (assuming in 17-23m range) and wage settlements...
