With Dzeko people see what they want I feel and people often judge him on the awkward look he gets when he's running with the ball. It's like he's trying to do a balance-act of some sort. But they forget the goals, which is very weird. I mean he scores a lot despite the fact that
we don't play his strenghts. He'll leave this club this summer but he's contributed a lot during the time he was here. I don't think you should waste your time on arguing with the likes of maxxi cit.revenge. It won't lead to anything anyway.
Please tell me what's his strength?I'll answer that
We don't play to Edins strength because he hasn't got fucking any. you heard, he's SHIT, easily shoved off the ball , cant jump for a header and cant control a ball for toffee. answers on a postcard please. oh and i forgot to mention his lightening lack of pace. apart from all of that , hes aces.
Dire
I'll answer.
He's got great in-box positioning for crosses, goalmouth scrambles and rebounds, and a predatorial instinct for these situations pretty much unparallelled in Europe today. He can definitely jump for a header, but how many good heading chances has the team delivered into the box all season? I'd guess 15-20, only 3 or 4 of which have been when he was on the pitch.
On the ball, he isn't the fastest of players, admittedly, but, off the ball or in space (such as the breakaways in the 6-1 or numerous counter attacks) where he doesn't need to keep the ball at his feet, he's pretty nippy. Likewise, he cannot turn with the ball when closed down, which is a massive problem with our setup, as the majority of deliveries come through the middle, especially when Yaya is moved forward. I'm surprised (and a little disappointed) that he hasn't formed a stronger understanding with Milner, but I believe they haven't had a lot of game time together.
As for being easily shoved off the ball, I agree. However, I think this is largely an attitude thing, and I'm not sure whether it's been 'bred into' him, to try and win free kicks, or whether he just can't be bothered trying, as the team is not set up to suit him (he can be a bit of a prima donna, as can be seen from a few petulant outbursts, and also occasional tweets). This is the one part of his play that I have been unsatisfied with during his time at City, as well as his effort, at times, but I think the two are closely linked.
