Couldn't agree more, would love to see Xabi Alonso coming our way
Replace a slowing and ageing midfielder with another one?

While on the surface you might have a point, Alonso's pin point passing and amazing ability to cover the ball still gets him out of the trouble even in highest level. That is not the case with Barry.
I'm not one of the people harping on about past great players but I must admit that I've always had bit of a man cruch with Alonso. Stunningly amazing footballer who genuinely DOES those things that don't necesserily meet the eye lot of people claim Barry does. Keeps the formation together, can deliver crucial balls sideways and forward. Quick thinker and always helps players around him shine. I would make an exception on him and bring him in for few years. Not that he would come or anything but in theory.

We need to be looking at the 19-24 bracket.

Like I said, all purely hypothetical. He wouldn't even move. Generally I very much agree with you.

Manchester City can confirm that Ivan Carminati, Fausto Salsano, Massimo Battara, Angelo Gregucci and Attilio Lombardo have left their respective roles at the football club.
We thank them for their contribution to Manchester City since their arrival and wish them well with their future careers.

The philosophy of our footballing style needs to be chosen and chosen quickly. Otherwise we could lose a year or so with all this change and our kids will not be progressing at the same rate as they could have been.

The reality is that the manager will be the DoF who will tell the coach how they should play.
