No, I think he has been underwhelming on the whole.

I just dont understand where all these Dzeko critics go when watching Aguero play, and i'm fed up of hearing about him being world class, because whilst I suspec there is a world class player in there somewhere, he never really shows it.

But let me qualify that, before we get any more cunts like 'Big Blue' trying yet again to put fellow blues down rather than debate the point, world class to me is someone who turns out a 8/10 or 9/10 performance week in week out, and is head and shoulders above most of the others on the pitch. I don't think i'm being unfair in saying that since his debut vs Swansea, you can count the number of world class performances from Sergio on the fingers of one hand.

He gets away with it because he keeps his head down and generally looks like he is putting a shift in, but in fact his overall play, not to mention his scoring record, is no better than Dzeko who is slated from the rooftops by all and sundry. Perhaps its because Sergio is cool, because he looks the part that he gets the easy ride, I dunno, but he is nowhere near his potential since arriving at City.

I said a good few weeks ago, think it might have been the Wigan home game where he started picking the ball up and running at players and looked a danger, thats the sprt pf Aguero I want to see.

I'm hoping the issue was Mancini coaching individuality out of him that has caused his performances to be so generally, well, average.

Even though I'm closer to you than I am Spartacus on this issue, that's a massively OTT reaction. When did you become so angry?

Well wide of the mark in terms of general play. Aguero doesn't give the ball away nearly half as much as Dzeko does.

I agree

I don't see where all the man love for him comes from, as I don't see him contribute, and I don't see him score as many as Dzeko.

In fact in 2 seasons, I have to say that I can only remember aguero doing one or two things that were worthy of the status that most city fans give his talents

He owes us big time

There's one goal, One special moment that comes to mind. and honestly, moments like that cause people to have biased opinions of a player from thereon

I'm glad he signed the deal tho, quality striker imo! he just needs to find a new missus during the summer and all will be fine again. ;)

Yes, spot on, and it was the same 'odd moment' of Mario's brilliance which clouded some very rational posters views as to his overall contributions and consistency.

I've got no beef with Aguero, but to say he's a world class player is one thing - I just want to see that world class shine through.

Because as someone else has said, his form for a long long time doesn't suggest a player who is world class.

The big difference between Sergio, Mario, Dzeko, is that there is absolutely no doubt at all in my mind that Aguero is a world class talent with the right attitude and all the ability.

I just really want him to show it regularly, which in my opinion he doesn't - and Big Blue, if you took your blinkers off and stopped being such a self righteous cunt you would see and accept that.

He scored 30 goals for us last season mate, his first in English football, that's up there with the best the league has seen.

He hasn't been as good this season, granted, but there are a number of factors to that including his injuries, his trouble in his personal life, the alleged situation within the dressing room this season. He is our top scorer this season again.

I agree that Sergio hasn't been upto scratch this season but imo that is the case with every single player we have bar Tevez, Barry, Zabba & Milner.

Sergio, Yaya, Silva, Hart, Kompany nowhere near their true world class, all the rest, not consistently top 2 Prem standard.

The whole squad has been at 60% all season & only the sheer quality of players such as Aguero & Tevez, the poaching insticts of Dzeko, the bits of genius from Silva or Nasri, have dragged us through mundane performances.

It's only because they are so good, that they can be so far off top form & still get 2nd place.
