Anyone who denies that Leslie did good work at our club is taking the piss. He bought our spine and updated our medical and training procedures. Facts that were acknowledged by the club when he left and confirmed by Doug.
He lacked a bit of tactical ability which is where Mancio took us to the next level.

He finished 10th in his first season, one place below Sven's placing of 9th in the previous season, this was with Kompany, Zabaleta, Robinho, Craig Bellamy(½ season), Nigel de Jong(½ season) and Shay Given(½ season). When he was sacked the following season, City were in 8th having drawn 8 of their 16 matches that season.
Roberto Mancini with that same side plus the free Patrick Vieira and supersub Adam Johnson, went on to record 11 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses and finish 5th. (Sunderland game is the missing one, before anyone questions the maths.)
You think he did good work? The name Clueless was well and truly earned.
