6 months ago 95% of you never even heard of Isco. Now all of a sudden he is the man that is the difference between 1st and 2nd place? Bullshit. While it would be nice to have him, it's not that bad if we don't.

Can't you see the trend that always happens? A new young starlet will get endlessly hyped up by the media for a few months and inevitably linked to City. Then people on here will be going on about how this man is the future of football and our success or failure is linked to his signing along.

There is no single silver bullet that will propel us to champs league glory. We already have the best squad in the league. And we already signed better than last summer. We just need who we have to play to their potential. So stop letting the media get inside your heads and set the agenda.

You do not sign a coach to take over a multi-billion pound project to have a better chance at getting a promising 21 year old. Forget day drinking, this must be the result of some mid-day meth smoke.

This is a testament to just how delusional has this thread (and whole board recently) become. Does lack of regular City games cause temporary lobotomies in some people?

Forget Isco now and let's concentrate on getting some of our own lads through... We've got a great first team squad there anyway, so a future star like Denis Suarez should be able to push himself and flourish.

No doubt Isco is a great player, but we have so many game changers in the team anyway that I can't help but think FUCK HIM OFF NOW IT'S GETTING BORING! SKY SPORTS IS RUINING OUR LIVES...

1. Malaga is going to try and retire Isco's 22 jersey....but apparently cant as 1-25 have to be available or something?
2. Seems like the Daily Star is the only one that gives us a chance at this point

Like most fans I'm only going on seeing Isco in a couple of matches but he looked pretty darn good. I can't help feeling that he was our new coach's number 1 target and we could have got him. All we had to do was pay the reserve fee before the Under 21 matches and he'd have been ours. We thought we had him in the bag and tried to get cute about the price. Isco starred in the Under 21s andReal decided they wanted him. The rest sadly looks like being history. If Chelsea get Cavani they've got a bloody good player. Pellegrini is left with two tasks; getting the best out of Nasri and Dzeko instead. Can he do it? Our season could depend on it.

You've created a fictional narrative in your own head based on mountains of speculation about our club's intentions, Malaga's motivation to sell, other team's interest, and only seeing a player in a game or two. It may be correct, but there is a massively greater chance that it is wrong. We have not hear a single quote from Pellegrini or the club about Isco. Why not just wait until they hold their first press conference and actually speak directly?

And why is it down to Pellegrini to get the best out of Nasri and Dzeko? Don't the players share some responsibility for their own performance? The reason tabloids sell so well is that mongs like you actually think in terms of their headlines:

AFTER FAILING TO CAPTURE ISCO, WILL PELLEGRINI BE ABLE TO SAVE CITY FROM FAILURE?

BONE DRY; CITY SQUAD IN TATTERS AFTER MOST RECENT SNUB

CAVANI IS THE KEY TO GLORY; DO CITY HAVE THE GRIT TO GRAB HIM?

REAL TEACH CITY HOW TO DO BUSINESS; CITY BOARD UNAVAILABLE FOR COMMENT

HAS FFP FINALLY STOPPED CITY FROM BUYING SUCCESS?

You don't need Sky Sports, The Sun, or Daily Mail. Just read these comments and you get something even crazier.

I think it is fair to say the player was outstanding for Malaga in Europe and in the domestic league, If you are as good as your last game, with his best 10 years to come. Our interest shows the club was heading for a very different style of play, maybe a more modern flexi No 10 style which Mnacini did not have. His decision is a blow, to a lot of aspects of what Berigistain is all about. Isco would have been the example all be it an imported example for the mega project of developinment being crucial. His playing Style will be the mantra for the teams under the 1st team. Berigistain is going to change us from top to bottom, he was that important. Madrid have added another player to a squad of mega rich under achievers, Some of our players will now hang around posibly for all the wrong reasons, Pelli's job is already more interesting and not as straight forward as it could have been if he got him. Any suggestion we have not lost out on getting him is just wrong. Players on the way out are gonna be hooked back I expect a delay in the march to DNA Change.
