He is an alrounder not a creative player but with him & Fernandinho, Yaya can move forward be the backup for Silva & Nasri if neccessary as he is not desperately needed elsewhere as he has been in the past.
I don't know if it's a specifically Manchester city tradition but otherwise I agree with this.
In typical City tradition he has a couple of good games and all of a sudden he's the dogs bollox...
