He is an alrounder not a creative player but with him & Fernandinho, Yaya can move forward be the backup for Silva & Nasri if neccessary as he is not desperately needed elsewhere as he has been in the past.

I don't know if it's a specifically Manchester city tradition but otherwise I agree with this.

In typical City tradition he has a couple of good games and all of a sudden he's the dogs bollox...

Until the end of the season he was being catergorised in the same bracket as Sinclair. Do one or two good performances really render some people's memories blank? If all it takes is two games out of twenty or thirty to make someone a good player then Steve McManaman ought to be some kind of City legend.

It's not as if them games were the first people have seen of Rodwell. I'm sure he's being judged and appraised on his career to date rather than a few games in an injury ravaged season.

Not sure about that. More than a few rolled their eyes and sighed when they heard we'd signed him.

Not slagging him or writing him off, though. Rodwell is clearly a talented player, but I can't see past the fact that he has spent far more time injured than playing for either Everton or City. Twenty-two and not even a hundred first team appearances yet. His average is about 15 games a year since 2007.

Rodwell will be like many others fresh start needing to adjust his game, if he was still at Everton would we be after him ? I like him BTW.

We'll see what bollox there is to him this season I imagine. Or we won't.

Fair enough mate, I share your concern about his fitness issue but if he can overcome it I think he could be a very fine all round centre mid.

Perhaps I'm giving people too much credit in regards what they're basing their opinions on, I dunno but I'd hope it's based on his career to date.

"My cycle has ended there"

What a Jedi master.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I hope all those negative cunts now understand that the little fucker wanted to leave.
I will never miss the little fuckign cunt after what he put our club through and any fan that says hes a legend needs to be bitch slapped 24/7.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

I was musing with Stu today that perhaps we don't have a replacement lined up as I originally thought and that Hells Pells has some form for ditching players who don't want to be part of the plan. Looks like that might have been the case, maybe as others have suggestedit was always gonna happen as the top brass have long memories

I think he's never really been here since the Bayern incident.

All the effort after he came back was probably just to show clubs he was over his troublemaking and worth buying. He has never stopped angling for this move.

Well that angling got us a trophy and secured second place last season. Yey!

He wanted to go then he wanted to stay. His family fucked off home then they were settled here. The guy didn't have a fuckin clue what he wanted.

He was a little scar neck wanker that the club bent over backwards for (the guy doing the stadium tour told me they knocked through a wall and allowed Tevez to have two boxes as one massive one) but he was one of the best players I've ever seen in a City shirt.

Love how he fucked off the rags and came to us. Will always love him for that.

Dunno if its bollocks or not but read on twitter that he's had a parting shot at us saying we're obsessed with being bigger than the rags but we never will be!!! If he has said that I hope he gets aids!!
