It was a pile of shit. He was attempting to bend it into the top corner. It hit the wall at knee height. It only went in because nasri is a fucking French fanny.

A free kick "specialist" might get us 3/4 goals a season. We need a quality striker that will score us 30 goals.

Or 6 or 7. Plus 5 or 6 assists from well delivered balls into the box. Which would have made the difference between winning and losing the title last season.

Perhaps manipulated was the wrong word. Selective is probably a more accurate word.
But stats can be very selectively used to try and show a point.
He's selectively used those facts and ignored the fact that over the last few seasons both Ronaldo and Bale have scored many more free kicks than him. I'm not calling him a liar. Just that when people use stats, it doesn't always strengthen their case.

And if someone tries to do that you discuss the basis of the opinion and show him or her that at least statistically, using small sample sizes can be very misleading. Or you might just say that going by one appearance is just stupid. Saying that a poor use of a type of argument or ground for opinion automatically makes any use of that type of argument arbitrary, just doesn't make sense.
