Hi Mr Angry

Who's pretending what now? I don't really feel that I need an agenda to participate on a football forum and it's sad to know that your world is so small that you feel that you need to.
Ted Hughes wrote:And of course, answering me is beneath you, because your behaviour & your football sense, is so much better than mine
Thank you for the compliments! This means a lot to me because I know that you have an excellent knowledge about other posters' position in the hiearchy of football knowledge:

You contribute nothing

You have skimmed through it and decided to pick an argument, without even reading the details.
I don't know about me skipping the details but I do know about you, as maxxis twitter quote mentioned 7 attempts on target, not hits.

7 - Balotelli attempted 7 shots on target from direct free-kicks vs Chievo, the most in a single game across the top-5 Euro leagues this term. Obsession.
Ted Hughes wrote:He said Balotelli hit the target IN ONE GAME 7 times, which means he had the best accuracy rate & therefore was a better free kick taker.
Which brings me to the next point:
Ted Hughes wrote:To prove this he put these stats down re Ronaldo: he put down the number of free kicks, the number of off target free kicks, the number of free kicks which hit the wall & the number of goals scored, which he said amounts to an 8% accuracy rating.
Can you notice anying missing ?
Why yes, he didn't put down the stat for how many free kicks WERE ON TARGET. The very fucking point he was arguing.
He put two stats that weren't even comparable against each other. It's you who's then claiming manipulation. He never said anything about general stats in the post about Balotelli's seven attempts against Chievo, neither do I know anything about why it's such a good thing to attempt seven free kicks against Chievo. It was just sloppy from him. You assumed that meant something which it didn't. Maxxi's posts were remarkably strange but nothing like the reactions they got from you and Bridge's.
Now I noticed you had become your Mr Angry-side and so steered clear, because I don't really feel that discussing with you when you're in that cunt of a mood gives me any insights that you otherwise offer. So instead I chose to engage with this remarkably ridiculous post:
Hey look at me, I'm Bridge's Right foot wrote:Agreed, I don't care what any manipulated facts say, he was utter shit at them. I got pissed off every time he was about to take one because I knew it was going straight into the wall. And it did...every time.
Now this poster was obviously just stupid in not really engaging with his stats but just disregarding them because stats can always be altered bla bla bla. He clearly couldn't see through the strange numbers put forward by Maxxi and decided to throw out this nonsense bullshit. It is as sensible as saying "I don't care that your argument is a great one, words can be connected and changed and manipulated to be in any possible order and mean anything". Now as I like stats I find the above post and poster ignorant and offensive. Simples.
As for this;
FFS, instead of trying to be controversial,
, I actually wrote the following in a previous post:
Now there's no doubt in my mind that maxi is wrong but I see little evidence of that here, in this thread.
And I still don't. I don't see any proof of anything. I still don't see what's so wrong about maxxi's stats about Ronaldo but I also don't see anything to prove that Balotelli's stats are better. I may have missed something but the only stat that maxxi has posted about Balotelli in this thread is that he attempted, not succeded, to hit the target with 7 free kicks against Chievo. I have no idea what to make of that. It's like saying that peanut-butter is not as good a sandwich spread as chocolate because of tsunamis.
Now I'm not saying that you can't prove anything if you haven't got stats. QUite the contrary. Bridge's on the other hand had as only argument that he didn't remember this and that. Which, coupled with the condescendant and ignorant attitude displayed in the above, I felt like arguing with. And then you came along and contradicted yourself. Great for you. Hope it made you happier!
If I get around to it later in the week, I will actually post the stats about Bale, Kolarov, Balotelli and Ronaldo, just need to find a good site that provides some stats. I don't think anyone but Maxxi will be surprised with the result.
