I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in drugs in sport. It’s all on youtube.

Bigger Stronger Faster is probably one of the best documentaries around.

A couple of ignorant people on here could do with watching it.

I've been on Reddit, but not seen that. I got distracted by the photos in other areas. Coincidentally, I've not got a massive right arm without the need of any steroids.

The statement I mentioned is actually from the French Senate and is a publication of a report on the retrospective testing for EPO on riders from the 1998 TdF. (There was no EPO test at the time). it contains a list of 40 riders who are reported to have tested positive for EPO. It is believed that Jalabert is one of the higher profile riders named.

The Mantova Case.
In the last day or two, an Italian judge has ruled that 27 people (18 riders, plus team staff and management) involved with the Lampre team, are to stand trial in Mantova, Italy, accused of doping.
Three of ther named riders: Cunego, Mori and Gavazzi are currently riding in the TdF.
The trial will start on 10th December.

Cheers John.

It's terrible that sportsmen are using steroids to cut fat. Out of interest, which sort of steroids and how long would they take to work? Would you be ok just taking them on a 3 hour flight or would you need to take them in the taxi to the airport as well to see an effect? Not for me, obviously, but I have a friend who's interested. He also said where from, how much and would they cause other parts to shrink?

Anyone who is ignorant to believe steroids are bad without actually knowing anything about them and just going off an article in the Daily Mail that said a kid took 'steroids' once and died!

If you...I mean your friend isn't going to the gym then he's probably better off just taking clenbuterol and having a clean diet.

You can't dismiss all the studies as flippantly as that, if you're willing to screw with your own biochemistry that's one thing but you're actively encouraging others to do it too.

What studies? Link??
Or are they OK for you when you're unhealthy and your GP is prescribing them to you for your muscle wastage disease or to help you with your aids? But if a healthy person takes them suddenly they're bad?

I suggest you watch that documentary that Ross was saying about further up. There are unbiased DOCTORS on there who tell the truth.

Couldn't give a toss about someone taking this stuff to look good, their choice.

But are you seriously trying to defend it's cosmetic use by comparing its legitimate use to combat illness or ease affects of major illness?

Chemotherapy is used to help cure cancer, it isn't advocated to use to get a buzz off, ketamine is used to ease serious pain but its not exactly legal to use for fun due to it's long term memory and personality side affects.

How many people have died from taking steroids and how many people have died from the drugs you've mentioned? FYI taking anabolic steroids is legal.

Whether you're putting an anabolic steroid in to your body for whatever use, the actual substance going in your body doesn't change because you're using it for aesthetics. If you know what you're doing then you will be okay.

All drugs have side affects even from the mundane like paracetamol to the ridiculous like heroin. Toxin levels from taking any drugs increase over time and with steroids the long term affects are increases of artery blockages, heart disease, liver failure - mostly never related to the drugs use because its generally further down the line when older - to say they don't is self denial at best.

And all drugs are fairly safe in the short term if you know what your doing with them, not many people die from correctly prescribed ketamine, or even pure MDNA but more people suffer death or reductions quality of life due to overuse of paracetamol or codeine - accepted safe drugs. In fact you can OD on vitamins and the increases of toxicity in the body from any over use or misuse of drugs has always a negative affect on the Liver through failure or scaring.

So when you are on a course of prescribed medicine for long periods of time you should have regular blood checks to ensure your internal organs aren't getting (too) damaged, i presume you often have your bloods checked considering you know how to use them?

I don't know anyone that has died from either ket, Mdna, chemo, paracetamol or codeine but i know one person that needed his legs amputated through steroid use, attributed in part to the injections and also to the blockages in blood flow attributed to increased cholesterol which is another nonexistent side effect.

As i say, do what you need to do it really doesn't bother me and if you know what the craic is then good on ya, I have with other shit but i learnt the risks and knew them and didn't preach their virtues without warnings of their risks. just dont pretend they're like drinking water because it isn't.

Ps - my general experience is that not everyone is as learned or dedicated to doing thing right and generally will fuck things up.
