I'm not sure where you're coming from again mate as I've not seen any posts relating to the Rags falling apart, just how they are operating and what the consequences could be. Is there no chance of them falling out of the top 2?
If anything, I think they'll be getting plenty of help if it's looking a bit dodgy, but that's just me, a real cynic when it comes to the Rags.

Henry Winter has got them down for 3rd place.

Probably about right to be fair but I wouldn't take them out of the running considering the changes over the closed season. I think Chelsea have got the squad and manager to win the league and it will be a measure of Pellers skills if we are round and about come May next year.
I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal get a good start either.

If Spurs keep hold of Bale I think they'll end top-4.

Beefymcfc wrote:A good chance. I just wonder if Spurs have pissed on their chips whilst dealing with Real. I'd put a pound to a penny that Levy wants the money for Bale but by forcing the issue, even out-priced Real.
I'd suggest the same is with Shrek and that the Rags really do want rid. His wages in the current climate (Rag climate) are astronomical and for someone who could go down hill in the next couple of years, they want a return now.

You're a top poster and I know you're most optimistic of city fans when it come to those fuckers struggling so I won't have a go, but last year they done fuck all in the transfer window until they signed the cunt that won them the league and community plate.
I for one will not be counting any chickens till the window is closed and they've lost five in a row.
One of my strongest memories of footy growing up was me and my brother listening to the derby on the radio with us 2-0 up (1993?) the batteries were low so we switched off for a while, we all know what happened next, I think that broke me as an optimist for life lol.

Those scheming twats are up to no good and I don't think we should be so quick to dismiss the possibility that tranny will return to the swamp.
Also, the fact is that as long as the window remains open and as long as tranny hasn't signed his much heralded new contract then it could happen. They haven't spent hardly a dime as yet but they are setting things up for wooney to leave in a huff (which will bring in circa £25 / 30 million and free up £250k pw salary) and while the rags have freed up their number 7 shirt (which they had to do if its part of a possible tranny deal before the season kicks off because it does before the window closes) it's on the cards hypothetically at least.
Why would tranny get sold? Well, he's more expensive than bale will be in salary terms and that's where the majority of a players cost resides. Also, tranny is great now but won't keep his resale value forever and he's a cranky demanding bitch whereas bale would be easier to manage.
Knock it all you like but a tranny to the rags deal could happen this summer if everything falls into place for them - it could be that they've been arranging tranny specific sponsorship for years on the basis of a deal already agreed with tranny's agent but I just hope that levy's fucked it up by pricing bale out of reach and thereby stopping the market and curtailing the rag dream.
PS. And what I hope for even more is that we spring a little surprise and bring in a name that will shock the market as per TH's proclamations on bluemoan. Might even be tranny to us - which would be so funny that I'd have a little wee - but extremely unlikely so my pants are staying dry I recon.
PPS. If it was bizzies then it was a scouse warehouse and ergo fantasy - if it was a police raid in manchester then it'd be dibble on course.

Beefymcfc wrote:Would Ancelotti really want to get rid of Tranny and bring in Bale? I know he doesn't have the ultimate say at Real but do you swap an established world class player who nets you over 50 goals a season for a relatively untried whose average contribution for Spurs is 10 goals a season. OK, he got 26 last season but do you swap that for what you already have, doubled? And what about Perez, how would he be seen by the Real fans, selling their prize asset for a few bananas?
All very suspect and all very much a 'muchness' for me.

RM will need the bananas if they get Bale.
