Looked too far over to me.

It's just a great free kick.

I think that's a bit unfair MJ - Joe was a truly great shot stopper in the season before last and he's had the occasional golden moment since then but I do have to agree that Pants looks a much better keeper as Joe's good points have not been so good over the last two seasons and Costel beats him hands down at the things that Joe's never done well (dealing with crosses / distributing quickly & accurately / controlling his defenders etc.).
I'd give Costel a run of games through to Christmas and see how he gets on because I think Joe's lost us 10 points last season and has already cost us 4 points in the few games played this season.
I think Joe's a great bloke, I like his lovely clean & shiny hair but I'm gutted to keep seeing us have loads of shots on target that are dealt with generally very well by supposedly average opposition keepers while the they have 2 or 3 punts at our net and england englands number one lets them all slide in.

How has he cost us 4 points?

Good-looking young guy with the world at his feet, but the world has fallen at his feet slightly too early and he appears to be having one or two problems dealing with the focus. Once they "arrive" at the top, over-confidence in relatively young goalkeepers can be a problem and that seems to be the major one afflicting Hart. Needs to cut away from his off-field endorsements and focus."

That is one view mate but we have tried that for over a year now - even to the point of the cup final, where Pantilimon was supposed to play but didn't. That goal would've been a gentle catch for him.
Cardiff was poor and that last goal at Villa was Sunday morning stuff. Even if the CBs had not covered themselves in glory Hart missed it by about 10 minutes when he came charging out.
Joe Corrigan got dropped early in his career after making howlers - seemed to work for him.

What would you have done? Stayed on your line? I can imagine myself in Joe's shoes thinking what the fuck have my centre backs just done, I better try close the player down like I did against Aluko, maybe me charging out will put the player off again.
Cup final, gentle catch? Don't think so, there was pace on that header which to be stopped would need incredible reflexes, from what I've seen of Panty I reckon Joe has better reflexes.
I'm not going to argue about the corner goals at Cardiff but will say he pulled off two cracking saves against Campbell at point blank range and left his line to narrow the angle to stop Campbell after the ball had been lofted over Lescott's head.
I think he's getting unfair criticism and I also believe a lot of that criticism is based on things other than his performances.
