Typical City.

A mix of the brilliantly good, laughably bad, sometimes daft, sometimes head scratching.

I don't think Arsenal or Liverpool can be properly assessed until they've played a decent team. The Arse have only really played Spurs which they were lucky to beat, Liverpool have only really played the Rags whilst Chelsea and the Rags have already played a few of the probable top 6. We've had the Rags and Everton where we demolished both and that's where I think the game will lie. We just need to stop the fuck ups at the back and we'll be fine.

Oh it's an argument you're after Beefy? Ok then, we didn't demolish Everton, they were the better team for most of the first half. How do you like them apples? ;)

ps we'd be top of the league if it wasn't for Joe.

We'd be top of the league if Zab's hadn't lost his man ...... twice!

Take that you bounder.

I agree with you. I think City has been the most exciting team thus far in the league. However, with the exception of a certain red team, we have been maybe, the most disappointing at times (SouthHampton, Stoke). I'm still unsure of Pellegrini's ultimate vision. Though, there seems to be more weight placed upon the Champion's League than domestic endeavors. This methodology has undoubtedly cost us points.

I'm disappointed you haven't summarised West Brom and Southampton's chances. They have just as much chance as the dippers.

Bayern are the european and german champions and right now probably the best team in the world.

If we don't win the title this season it'll be a bigger failure than last, looking at the quality of the other teams you mention Beefy. But I have every faith we'll get there in the end.

I agree, but had we turned up for that game like we did against the Rags I think it would have been a different outcome.

I think we have improved since the back half of last season, but there are still huge steps to take for us to not only turn up in the Champions League games, but also hold out against the "lesser" teams when we play away from home.

What we have seen so far this season, bar a couple of games (namely the rags and newcastle) can hardly be described as league winners?

Last season it was always just us and the rags, this season the gunners and the dippers have really upped there game and we cannot keep playing as we are.

All in my opinion of course ;-)

I think the teams most predicted would be up there look really poor so far but Arsenal and Liverpool are looking good. No real surprise though, they've kept their manager and have had minimal turnover of players.

Apart from the shit goals against us (plus the Bayern game) we've looked the bollocks and if we can get it right, we should prevail.

Must say Arsenal are looking good right now. Including last 10 or so games from last season they've only lost 1 in about 22/23 games & they are scoring goals for fun now. Think its between us, Chel & Arse

I'd take that in any order. Followed by Spurs, then Liverpool, then Everton, then say Swansea, Newcastle, maybe Villa, Southampton.

For me a lot depends on who takes the points in the head to head games of the top 8 teams or so. Us, Arse. Chelsea, Spuds won't drop too many to the lower teams this season I rekon. So it will come to head to heads to sort them. City will win out in this imo, with the rest winning some and losing some in no obvious order.

We will take more points of those around us than Arse and Chelsea put together, our achilles is going to be turning up properly v Palace away and the like. We have already dropped 8pts purely against weaker teams.

I've got Spuds to top the rest of the pile for some reason.

Do you think that the lower clubs are dropping back due to the new FFP, like United ;-)

Hey don't give them excuses, they read this forum y'know ;)

I don't see much quality in the rest of the league.. maybe it's me. Soton look interesting so far, Swansea the toffees and maybe one other side. The rest look either to have gone backwards or just stayed static from last season.

I just find it interesting that we've not seen much movement, apart from those who have something to play for and wondered whether it's as a consequence of the Rag mafia at the top.
