Different cultures develop at different speeds and I'd guess that, as a comparator, Russia is probably where the UK was in the early 1970's . . . we can look back and know that our national attitude was unacceptedly racist at that time (the BBC was openly racist), we can note that we've made changes for the better since but we have not erradicated racism from the UK . . as you will note when you read all the anti-muslim sentiment presently put out by our own government never mind the BNP etc.

It's easy to see that the CSKA management are wrong in what they say but their opinions are flavoured by the national attitude in Russia and that's where their fault lies but I feel that will improve with the media focus of the world cup and, in any event, they actually shine compared to some USA states where racism remains culturally embeded even now.

Name those states would you Herb

I take it that post was in response to mine? What the fuck any if that has to do with what I asked is beyond me.

Anyhoo, come on City, let's give these cunts a jolly good rogering.

Surprised to see Clichy in there, Kolarov has been superior player so far this season. and it's at home where he's at his best too while usually I think Gael is more reliable away.
shame for Lescott, imo he would've deserved to play either today or last Sat.

How much til Kompany is back ?! I m not afraid of this CSKA team if we play like we can but really miss him at back.We had a preatty good draw this time , not that CSKA is poor team but we got them in out of form and our last two draws where insane so we kind deserve a better draw for once.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Well what a surprise lescott is on the bench. Why did people seriously think he was being rested to play this game is beyond me...

If nasti isn't injured regardless of how poor he's been, he plays no matter what. Lescott is there for cup games.

The full backs situation is intriguing. Kolarov has been better this season but Clichy is the better player. Zaba has been very average this season and Micah apparently didnt impress in the cup match.

Hopefully we win today. I'd like to see Panti impress

I do agree that Lescott should be given a chance to play alongside the long haired one, it's refreshing to see an unchanged side for once!

That is what i m thinking at list in Peller era i know first 11 .There is no so much rotation and i think it could be better for team.

Excellent pre-match fireworks, although I was hoping for a blue finale. We'll have to wait for the game for that then
