For my part, I think Dub is about 70% correct and 30% paranoid. I don't think there's a conspiracy against us, not do I think that all the fellas he names have an agenda against us. I just think the Scum have built up a large following of arse-crawlers over the last few decades.

I can switch off and ignore it. In fact, no, scratch that, I actually enjoy listening to them commentate on us through gritted teeth. I certainly don't get wound up by it. Fuck 'em. I didn't want sympathy when we were shite and I don't want sycophancy now we're decent.

If that was us...

To be fair to Ray Wilkins he did call it a blatant dive & even said it's as bad as over the top tackles as it's conning the refs

He certainly did.

AVDT - I don't think they are solely against us at all. I just like to see balance and there isn't any. Whatsoever.

The rags dropped the gay after spending huge money on him and baconchops didn't get interegated over it like pelle has been non stop in his interviews.

Young dives for the umpteenth time and gollum isn't even asked about it.

Remarkable.

So I remark.

I have just seen a recording of City v Norwich MOTD.

I remember when the rags battered Arsenal reserves (the day we murdered Spurs away) & Arsenal in that game turned in one of the worst defensive performances ever seen. The MOTD review was a Utd hand job.

Forward to City putting 7 past Norwich & barely a single word of praise. I know Norwich were poor, but lots of sides are poor from time to time; we won 7-0 for fuck's sake.

If the rags ever have a similar result, even in the FA Cup v Bury, the post match review, on any TV station, will not be concentrating purely on bad defending.

Caughoffside reporting today that due to Aguero being in such good form, Chelsea are willing to go above Bayern's "staggering" bid and up it to.....

£42m.

Even Strachan said last night that it would cost more than the Bale deal (after the other geezer brought it up for no reason whatsoever).

Well it would have to. They are both similar age, both are forwards whose jobs it is to set up attacks, assist and and score goals.

And aguero is better. At least, I think he is over the last 5 years or so.

Half the fee? The media strikes again.

I just turned on TV and switched to the sports channels

Sky 1 has currently:

'Football Gold' - Scum - Chelsea, the next programme is

'Football Gold' - Scum - Newcastle followed by

'Football Gold' - Leeds - Scum

Seems balanced?

Given Sergio's age, ability, track record and the demand for his services his fee would be north of Bale's and Strachan had this spot on last night which was refreshing. That rules out all potential buyers bar Real Madrid. City would never sell to Chelsea, nor could/would Bayern or Barca pay £85m or more although we would have to obviously ward off the "late swoop" by United and of course the fact that Sergio "really wants to go to Utd" as the Mirror keep telling us about every player on the market.

When Sergio extended his contract by an additional year earlier this year, my assumption was he would play 1 or 2 more years for us and then want to head back to Madrid. If so, then it will have been a privilege to have him at City and we'd would receive a fee far exceeding what we paid. Hope Im wrong, I really do.

Just going through the papers to enjoy our moment in the lime light, first English club to qualify for the last 16.

Daily Mail prefers to focus on the diving little RAG shit bag and cheating cunt, tossers.

Fuck them all,i say.

All that matters is that we fans were there to witness it and enjoy it.

He is on fire at the moment, right up there with Messi and Tranaldo.

Obviously i would prefer he stays with us.But if he does go it will only ever be to Real Madrid or Barcelona for a fee in excess off £100.000 000,no way will City ever even consider any rivals in England, and Aguero is much to classy to consider signing for another Premier League Club. The RAGS have more chance off signing Messi which is - 100%

Hopefully he will win at least another Title, and European Cup with us first.

let's assume RM gives us 85M. is there any player we could buy with 85M who would reasonably replace aguero in our style of play?

Nope. And that why the valuation is so high and what his market value actually is. £40m? Do me a favour, it wouldn't by his right leg.

I think the main reason the scum get so much coverage is their large fanbase. Do I think the praise goes over the top at times? Yes. Only an idiot wouldn't cater to the cretins that follow the scum.

You're right there mate...

But would you say this is the reason that the media constantly report that every player wants to leave, no player wants to come and every player we managed to bribe into joining us is available at half price?

I would understand no coverage for us or less than them, but we actually get equal coverage for the most part. It's just we're painted as evil, while they are painted as good.

Ultimately though, isn't it better to be hated and brilliant, than pitied and shite? :)

It's better to be hated and brilliant.

Ultimately though, it's better to be loved for being being brilliant.

To be honest, I'm well aware that loads hate us because of the money and what they perceive to be unfair competition. I love it when we win in spite of this.

What I hate most at the minute is having to listen to it while I'm watching a game.

And stop disagreeing with me - you know how angry I get :)

It grates, absolutely, and we deserve a lot more praise from the media than we get but in the absence of that praise, it's nice to know that no matter what they say, we're only going to improve and become more of a force. All that means is we adapted a siege mentality, "nobody likes us, we don't give a fuck".

Also, things can always be worse - imagine if Dunphy worked for Sky and was spouting his vitriolic hatred every weekend!
