Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Martinez blew it there doing a 'Mancini' with the defence when Everton were on top. Handed the initiative back to Liverpool.

Great game.

Interesting to see how many free kicks Dowd gave to Liverpool compared to when he reffed us there.

Great game to watch and it was more fun by the minute as both teams stopped defending.

I'm not sure it was Martinez as he had to cover the Sturridge sub. I'd put it more down to Dowd and his carding of Distin who then had no chance to get himself set as Dowd blew for Stevie Starfish to put the ball in.

I think that score suits us though.

I've near nothing but fond memories of Distin. Him and Dunney were stalwarts for us and he left with a chance to improve when we were going through a period where we didn't know what was happening.

Cracking CB who, if a bit younger, would've partnered Vinnie well. That is, if Vinnie ever played.

Me neither. Can't believe the stick some Blues gave him. He stayed until the end of the contract having served us very well and then joined a team who at the time were simply better than us and had more of a chance of success. He went on to win the Cup with them aswell. He wasn't to know the contrasting financial situations which were about to unfold for the two clubs.

Him kissing the Pompey badge when we played them is probably a good reason to dislike him but for me he did more good than harm.

It's easy to forget him bottling it & getting bullied v people such as Paul Dickov & losing us big games before he fucked off.

Sturridge was unmarked when he scored.

Classic example of what happened with City when we made similar subs.

Subs will always have an affect on the game, especially when they only have a couple of minutes to adjust but on this occassion it was down to a good cross in and bad marking by the team, not just one player.

If Brown goes off then Begovic has to walk for dangerous play.

These are the types of game when Halsey's words really come to the fore. Ref's are told how to referee individual games and there isn't any consistency to back-up anything other than the Premier League controlling by proxy.

Also, just noticed him pull a yellow out of his pocket and swiftly put it away. He couldn't be booking Fletcher for a dive so it must've been for Begovic before realising he'd have to give a penalty. Saying that, he might just like walking around with his cards out.

Think Chelsea 2-0. With the Arse winning a Chelsea win would put bit more pressure on tomorrows game. Just don't see West Ham scoring. Must be grim to be a hammers fan at the moment. Looking forward to Dortmund v Munich on BT Sport
