They don't promote atmosphere just seems to be a load of kids hurling abuse at away fans and saying the south stand is shit. Ive sat in south stand for about 5 years and it's always been lively that hasn't changed since the intro of singing section.
Sorry for rant

The chants of 'Stand up if you love City' made me chuckle as the rest of the block stood up
It's sad that people can't stand at a football match, but I get that others may want to sit

Glad I didn't go.
City you will never fill a week night match if this shit carries on. We had it in the south stand years ago now the whole stand is allowed to stand (yet still barely musters a song but thats another point...).
The police even agreed with the fans but said they had to enforce showsec.
I just don't know where the club want to go. No atmosphere and empty? = less money and financial implications?
the atmosphere has been the worst in years this year already despite 7 and 6 goal wins (this due to many fans not renewing and all new faces around me in 110).
I imagine they will have to get onto the club ASAP.

City do not care about the fans or the atmosphere people need t realise that. u****d do not get the same problem at the front of their k stand where around 2000 stand, yet City are insistent on making our match day experience awful but bombared us with emails about beer and pies and 10% deals on clothing in the club shop.
I do not think they look after the fans as well as they want to be portrayed.
THEY DO NOT MAKE THE AWAY FANS SIT DOWN AT LEAST ONCE IN ANY GAME.

Fourth - I don't get where you can possibly come from with 'we can't hear the east stand' and laughable comments like 'the bell stand is louder' I have been forced to sit in near silence in tier 2 of the bell stand and its clear for the whole game that the noise comes from the East stand corner.

Two separate comments there from two different people. I think people who go in the blocks you mention have an inflated idea of what they contribute to the atmosphere, that's all. Most games the most you can here is when the corner starts singing abuse at a fat guy or someone with ginger hair etc.
When you are sat down there, (as I did in the South stand for a number of years) the atmosphere around you seems good, but when you then spend a few years sat elsewhere in the stadium, you soon realise that the odd song every 10-15 mins doesn't constitute what you describe as singing 'throughout the game', and hence why the 'singers corner' is as much use as a chocolate fireguard in terms of getting the atmosphere going in the rest of the ground.
Appreciate what you are saying about the uneven stewarding policies btw, it's wrong, people need to know where they stand (literally).
