Got the video review of this season. (I need to get it converted to DVD) One thing that really stands out about the first half of it is the fact that every game was a cup final. Someone would score and jump into the crowd, City would get involved in a 20 man brawl, City would have a player sent off, City score half the ground errupts, opposition come away with point and celebrate like they've won the cup.
The next week. Someone would score and jump into the crowd, City would get involved in a 20 man brawl, City would have a player sent off, City score half the ground errupts, opposition come away with point and celebrate like they've won the cup.
And repeat.
The second half of the season was kicked off with beating Stoke twice and battering Fulham at home in quick succession.
Its amazing to think of the youth graduates in that team. Weaver (sort of), Crooks, Edghill, Fenton, Mason, Brown, Jim & Jeff Whitley.
There are some players who've been largely forgotten from that season we were fundamental to that season Tiatto, Wiekens (i'll never forget Wiekens having Van Nistelrooy in his pocket in the derby) and Kevin Horlock. Should all have been honoured by the club. Especially as two are former players of the year.
