I really hope Negredo's injury isn't bad. Pellegrini has a bad habit of needlessly risking vital players

Just that he was there for six years and trophies were hard to come by but the fans were always terrific even in league one so deserve everything we get!

Great win. It may do Nasti some good to be taken out altogether for a month or so. Build his confidence up again as he has played much better than that. Joleon's interview was interesting. Seems like there is a strong chance he may be leaving. Pity that, but hopefully a class player to replace him.

Could of sworn I heard him mutter a criticism off mic for Pellegrini not telling Panti to go into West Hams 18yard box in the dying minutes...

"It is the same for me," says Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini when asked whether he would prefer to face Manchester United or Sunderland in the final. That has to sting a bit back at Old Trafford. - post match response in BBC

Alf still looked in pain after the game, couldn't lift his arm to shake hands. Looks like a dislocated or broken collarbone to me. Reporter told Manuel post match he was limping down the tunnel, Manuel shrugged and said "Alvaro has a pain in his shoulder - we will see tomorrow."

Bad news blues.

Lots of positives today aside from reaching the cup final of course.Good to see Jovetic and Rodders back in the squad hopefully they can stay fit for the rest of the season.Lopes was quality and Clichy had a good game. It's so good to see someone from the youth system look so capable at this level he seemed at ease he never looked fazed at all.Just hope The Beast is not out for a bit.

Pellers has said later that Negredo is fine so it's all good news tonight.

But I do think it's time to calm down about Lopes. Very nice performance and 2 assists on the way to MotM ( although not for me) but let's not go OTT as some would do for players at the swamp as soon as they set foot on a pitch.

I thought Fernandinho was motm, but can't really complain about their choice.

Agreed Doug. Lopes was a positive but West Ham were piss poor as well.

Passage secured and goals again for the forwards. Besides Lopes, other positives were Aguero getting fitter and Fernandinho who was the best player on the pitch. If Negredo had broken or dialocated his shoulder he wouldnt have been able to play out the last 10 mins which he did.

When Jovetic trotted on he was greeted with cries of "who the fuclin ell are you?" from our end. Did give his shirt away to a fan at the end as well. Decent away trip.and a good turnout by City fans as well with a notable few southern based Blues amongst us judging by the accents.

Hmm maybe get got a shirt as she was spotted on camera near the front when Negredo got the 3rd. WHU were crap of course and 9 nil says it all but it was good that we treated the whole thing with respect.

Just love the headline on the bbc sports app tonight - "Man City reach final with 9-0 win".
Life is sweet!
Thought Lopes was good, Fernandinho was class though and looks a real thoroughbred.
When Morrison did his moment of great skill then I was pleased to see Lescott get the block in and Garcia react first to clear the ball.

Absolutely this.

I saw the whole thing through a drinking session due to a mate who has been ill & recovered & still I can see that Lopes did some great & some shit things, (& that Lescott was much better than Nastasic).

I'll watch a recording of it when sober but I recon even pissed, I'm still much more even handed than any Lescott hating twerps on here. And also that Lopes showed raw but not finished talent.

I can understand the enthusasm re Lopes, but it's still early days.

The test in the end will be him producing a level higher than that, every week.

And if he can, there are others who may soon follow.

Well done to him though; i'm delighted.
