Stefan Jovetic (Manchester City)City manager Manuel Pellegrini has a hangdog look that doesn’t immediately identify him as one of life’s optimists, but he insists the Montenegrin forward will be available for selection this week. Given rumours Jovetic is a borderline hypochondriac, it may not be wise to hold one’s breath.
Jovetic has made only one Premier League start since his £22million summer transfer from Fiorentina. He has not been seen since October. His problems have been traced to an unspecified muscular injury, originally described as a calf problem, then as a hamstring issue, but now said to be neither. Whispers of homesickness add to the intrigue.
