The ref booked Demichelis for going for a clear ball from a similar angle, because Adebayor jumped in front of him at the last second, yet going through the back of Dzeko with both feet off the ground isn't a penalty according to Dermott Gallagher.
The thing nobody seems to have mentioned, is that the Lino got both decisions right, but most likely for the wrong reasons.
He could never have seen the contact on Dzeko, so that was a guess on his part, and very very late.
And he seemed to only raise the flag for offside once the ball had gone in the net, not when Adebayor made the challenge, so it seems he flagged for Dawson. For me the lateness of those two calls is more than a little suspicious, and if I didn't know any better, that Lino could be a blue, or at best trying to even out some of the hideous decisions Marriner did make in the game.
